looks like a light weight stick to me, if it was a spear those terrorists would be dead. japan has been the best spear wielding country for the past thousand years. the rifb can hold up to getting hit was a stick
All Hail the IDF! Protect your civilian sailors all over the globe. If the anti-whaling PIRATES feel the need to attack Japonese citizens on the open ocean the IDF needs to protect them. A few cannon shells into the Sea Shepherd's power plants will probility slow down their persuite ships. Give them hell ICR!
@LordBrakensiek Well this bamboo stick was aimed at their heads, the glass bottles are aimed at the decks of the ships and not at crew, the flares where only meant to get stuck on the nets (which had been soaked in saltwater for weeks there is no way it couldve caught on fire) they've only ever had 1 successful prop foul and it only took 3 days to remove.
@EarthandNature You don't know what the Japanese were aiming at. All you know is that a pole was thrown at a SSCS boat that was getting too close. Everything the Japanese have done were in defense from bottles being thrown at them, flares shot at them, arrows shot at them, ship ramming, and sabotage.
@LordBrakensiek If you throw pretty much anything at a small boat with 3-4 people in it, it's gonna have a very high chances of at least hitting them. By the ways SSCS never fired arrows at the whalers Pete Bethune brought them so he could lace them with buteric acid and shoot them at the whale carcases when they were still harpooned and not on board. As for everything else, sscs has never hurt anybody or been found of a felony, can the whalers say the same?
@LordBrakensiek haha dude your retarded, so what happens if the japs start over fishing your favorite fish to eat i bet your tone will change real quick, ya the bottle thing i understand, flares im so-so, arrows never happened, ship ramming dumbass idea on the part of the sea sheapards, but the Adi Gil was clearly hit by the Japs honestly you see the jap ship change course towards them, and sabotage not really
@WarJunky11 Okay, first, you have no idea if I am for or against Japanese whaling. Second, yes arrows were shot at Japanese boat. How do I know? It was on the show, derp.
And what the hell does "sabotage not really" suppose to mean? The SSCS has always tried to sabotage Japanese whaling. They even admit it.
@LordBrakensiek im pretty sure the arrows where shot at the whales to make the meat useless and unable to sell, derp. haha that word is funny, and the sabotage isnt that bad, now if the prop fouler were like a MICLIC rope then i could understand, whats worst sabotage wise, purposelly ramming a small boat full of people, or throwng the prop fowler, bottles of harmless materially to humans, and flares (if a fire were started they could just put it out with the water cannons)
@WarJunky11 As things always do on Whale Wars, something could have gone wrong an a Japanese whaler could have been hit by an arrow. Plus you make it seem like it wasn't a big deal. Well it was a big deal, enough so that Paul Watson publicly stated that he did not know Pete Bethune was using a bow and arrows.
@WarJunky11 Do you not think there is a risk involved with a Japanese ship sitting dead in the water because the SSCS jammed their propellers? Yes, there is, as there is also a great risk to the person who has to dive below the ship to cut away the prop fouler.
@LordBrakensiek And getting rammed by a ship about 30 times bigger, isnt at all dangerous at all. Or getting spears thrown at you, or a helicopter being hit by LRAD's.
@LordBrakensiek First, boats are built to float on the water, second, they could just be towed back by one of the other ships, third the japs have done worst things hence the ady gil, and aiming an LRAD at a helicopter which could disable the pilot causing him to wreck, im not for all the Sea Shepherds do, i personally cant stand Capt watson he is terrible but you cant deny the fact the zipperheads have done far worse things than the SSCS

The best except for Rome, Greece, Sparta, China, Korea, Tibet, England, Palestine, etc. Those guys.
Any item used for the act of spearing can be called a spear.
But it's true, the guy throwing it sucked.

@EarthandNature And throwing glass bottles, shoot flares, and attempting to jam up propellers won't?

@WarJunky11 I'm sorry, but they are being tormented. They have a right to defend themselves. That includes using an LRAD.
