If you purchase the My Touch you need to buy the internet option. Otherwise, its just another phone.

I know what its like to be a student. However I aways found a way to be flush with beer with no job or money. I am sure you can find a way to get the internet on your phone.

I already have the G1. Got it last year. Is this what is supposed to be the G2. If so or not...is it better than the first and why?

It is the G2 they just renamed it to the My touch. Software is an upgrade. Designed for Touch Screen. No pullout key board. My friend has the G1 and Voice to text is much better. Also thinner. But G1 is still a good phone.

The memoir is cheaper but bigger because of the 8mp camera, i would recommend the mytouch 3g just because of the features it has over the memoir, the customization, and just an overall better phone. But if you do plan on getting the memoir check your inbox for a cheaper price :)
