I wonder if this lot see videos of themselves like this and see how ridiculous they actually look????....and these c*nts are running the country!? Now wonder we're f*cked Lol
for americans; order, from ye olde english literally means "shut the fuck up" and "honourable gentlemen" means 'a man who does not posess any testicles'
This man shames our Government, our Parliament and therefore our country. And now the wife seems to wish to spread the disgrace of the Burcow name across some of the lower-rent channels.
Bercow is a prick but you need to be like that at times as speaker. McLoughlin made an arse of himself. He broke the cardinal rule of being Chief Whip in that you should be seen and never heard.
Apparently in England, "order" means "shut your hole" and "the right honorable gentleman" means "you witless prick!" I'm not a particularly worldly individual, so I can't throw out any judgements, and if your system works for you, then more power to it, but here in the States, we don't mince around what we really mean-- we just spit it out and you make of it what you will. It isn't always well received, but at least you know precisely where you stand...
@BladeFuller No, that's just the Houses of parliament. This is an 1000 year old establishment, there are certain traditions you have to obey. The protesters outside, on the other hand- you hear a lot of bad language from them :)
As an American, I've been watching Prime Minister's Questions whenever it gets real late at night and they wanna run it on C-Span and it is by far, more entertaining than our House and Senate. I remember Betty Boothroyd was a hell of a Speaker. Michael Martin was a wet blanket and awful and John Bercow has done a pretty fair job, I think. Now, I'm not an expert on it, nor will I claim to be. Those are just my own observations.
@lawrence142002 I think Mr. Martin gets a lot of abuse because he wasn't as natural a speaker as Bercow or Boothroyd are. He did the job for something like 10 years- I wouldn't criticize him personally because he has dedicated a lot of his life to this job.
@lawrence142002 UK politics has allways had its characters, Many of the the mp's make extra money by doing after dinner speeches. Afterall, every lefty wants to hear the hillarious Dennis Skinner talk bollocks, and watch cyril smith eat 100 pies and down 50 pints of beer. TV shows such as spitting image practically made many of our mp's personallites which could be branded to make money. Most uk mp's do a shit job anyway, so we may aswell get a bit of entertainment out of them.
@BladeFuller Two words: Political culture. It's much different in the UK than the US. Prime example: when Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" at Pres. Obama, it caused immediate uproar among civilians and politicians of both parties. However, Ed Miliband and PM David Cameron have shouting matches every Wednesday at Question Time. It's one of the things that makes countries different, and given both nations' histories as advanced democracies, that only highlights this difference.
However, let me just say to my right honorable friend, @TheScrabbleKing , that Britain is a gradual democracy, and cannot be directly compared to our system. Our system was spontaneous, where as Britain's developed over a much longer period of time.
@BladeFuller Lmao. & in serious cases, the speaker may go to the boot shaking hieghts of def con 3 and start "naming people". Once your named, your really in for it. Yes some of our debates do not go straight to the point, but that allways depends on who the speaker is. If you look at speakers such as Betty Boothroyd, she was never one for beating around the bush, if you didnt get ur chops and be heard, she left you in the pit to drown.
@BladeFuller I don't see the problem with a bit of a sense of decorum in an environment like this, but on the other hand, there is something to say for speaking plainly. However, in the US Congress, speaking plainly is not done as a virtue, but the majority of the representatives have a diction of someone who's 2 years old, and have teapots who like to shout things like "you lie!" when the president is speaking.
The British system isn't perfect, but in comparison to US Congress...
When Bercow says, "Order!" angrily while saying it many times in a row, he sort of sounds like a barking dog. While this is certainly not a political comment, I still felt the need to make the observation anyway. What rules of parliamentary procedure Mr. McLoughlin broke, I have no idea, but all I know is that Mr. Bercow was trying to keep the House of Commons in "Order!" Judging from the past, some of this "Order!" is needed. I can only hope he becomes the male version of Betty Boothroyd.
Bercow, was nodding to let the Labour politicians know when to say ‘object’ at the correct time during the proceedings. Bercow was effectively helping Labour to throw a spanner in the Government’s business. This is absolutely disgraceful behaviour from what is supposed to be an impartial speaker.
This is grounds for a vote for no confidence for Mr. Bercow.
@matrix4022 Don't be stupid, he's not a leftie. He's a far right fool. He's also a conservative. I cannot believe you people are so stupid you try to argue he's a leftie. He may be a tosser, but he's a decent speaker.
@ToaJoe Yes, because there is no speculation of Mr. Bercow's political opinions. It's not like his last job in government was for the Labour Party or anything. I won't lower myself to your childish name-calling, you should know better than that.
@matrix4022 People on the left and right are always trying to claim certain people are behaving impartially. The truth is, it's all pathetic and childish, and you should stop trying to say that everyone is against 'your side'. You're probably a conspiracist who thinks the BBC are anti-tory.
@ToaJoe - bollocks! He was a Labour stooge, worked for Labour, his wife is a Labour councillor, he hates most Tories, he had Labour's backing as the next Speaker... he's a lefty Labour idiot in all but name. He's the most lousy, biased speaker ever to disgrace that office. Even Mick Martin was better - at least he was basically honourable. Bercow ought to be kicked out - and no, I'm not much of a Tory supporter.
@EccentricRichard You're here to troll my videos. Not surprising, from a lobotomized ginger aspberges ugly toff. This seems to be a trend, judging by your comments on other videos. My channel is productive, yours is simply negative, which explains why I have 500 more subscribes than you.
@ToaJoe - actually, I'm not lobotomised, I'm not ginger and I'm not a toff either. My channel isn't negative either. You do have a lot more subscribes than I do, though, and fair play.
@brigadeir998 So I have just insulted how your brother looks? Well, unless your parents are not ginger, you no doubt look just as hideous. Stop trolling my videos, fuck off. If you want to comment on my videos in a decent manner, feel free. More trolling, and I'll block you.
@ToaJoe - actually, I'm not lobotomised, I'm not ginger and I'm not a toff either. My channel isn't negative either. You do have a lot more subscribes than I do, though, and fair play.
@ToaJoe we'll he's not a far right tool, he very much a centrist, he was a Tory but he's spent the last 5-10 years in the party drifting towards the center, which is part of the reason how he was elected speaker in a Labour controlled parliament, His wife is also a Labour Councillor. He's also not a particularly good speaker, he likes the sound of his own voice too much.
@AMD1989 Although Sally Bercow did indeed stand for Labour in a ward of the London Borough of Westminster in its 2010 local authority elections, she was unsuccessful.
@ToaJoe There was talk he was going to join the Labour party before he became speaker and the one of the reasons that he got the job was because of the strong labour party support in his election.
