Only thing is, you don't have to do it like that, if you move stuff around in your start menu it wont work, but your money will change randomly, if you move stuff in your toolbox, your tools might duplicate, and if you save and reset, the glitch leaves you with 99999999 G and duplicated tools, but no other irregularities. I think a glitch like that happened .. I was at the Junk Shop picking up some of the lumberstacks there and suddenly got the Very Rich Note - upon checking the menu I had, like, 600.000 G or so. Of course the Note didn't count since I had the time stopped at that moment - so I had to restart the day .. I tried to do it again but it didn't work .. Q_Q
Work in the mines a lot. When you get gold ore, don't sell it all. Save 2 or 3 pieces (or as many as you want) and store them in your shelf. Ship out a bunch of ores until the Blacksmith comes to town. Talk to him and select "Accessories" and choose "Gold Ore" then "Gold Ring". Make sure you have at least 700G before doing this. He'll ask you to come back 2 days later. The Gold Ring you get is worth 1250.
Or make all of the guys like you (5+ hearts) and they give you pendant things. Sell em. :)

you must have at least 30 Musical Notes, get a level 3 home from Woody,(befriend woody or one of the other guys there or u won't b able to get the level 3 house) and get a double bed from Woody. You will get it from Mayor Theodore, and will be able to marry the man or woman of your dreams.
u need atleast 4-5 hearts from theodore too or he will never come knocking on ur door

buy some bell peppers from spring farm. buy as many as you can carry. it sounds crazy, but bear with me! because fried veggies sell for 310g each, and you only need 1 bell pepper to make it! (and a frying pan, of course!)

LinkWolf: What you need to do,
Spring:
-plant as many breadfruit seeds as you can
-fish for blowfish at the bridge closest to the ocean, and then use them in the cutting board
-take you hoe, and go directly south of the seed shop till the ocean. use it right at tideline for clams
Summer:
-CORN!!!!!!!
-fish and clam it
-you'll probably got enough to already buy the coop and maybe the barn.
