  • No one does Fleetwood Mac like Priest.

  • I was at this show. Priest plus a Sabbath & Zep reunion in the same day...My head nearly exploded..

  • I had fucking bolts of lightning go through my whole fucking body when Rob did the high notes at the end :)

  • JUDAS PRIEST!!!... EL LADO MAS PURO Y REPRESENTATIVO DEL HEAVY METAL!!! DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS!!!

  • el icono del heavy metal!!! que voz por diossss

  • Many people tell me that i should have lived the 80's cause i love evrything from that time like: music. Too bad i was born in 2000.

Up the eighties and heavy metal

  • That high Halford pitch gets me everytime.

  • Priest! Priest! Priest!

  • This very performance is pretty much what the 80's and Priest is all about. A packed out stadium, hot weather, nights at the beach, leather jackets, rock on the radio, happiness, no cellphones to interrupt social interactions. Man... i wish the 80's would have lasted forever..

  • Best Live act

  • The most handsome man in rock ever!

  • I prefer the original version of this song to the Priest cover (as a Priest fan and not a Fleetwood fan), but that said, this version of this song is my favourite live performance of all time. Every time I hear it I'm saddened because the 80s are over... There's so much energy in the band, in the song, in the crowd, in the air... Nothing short of stunning.

  • I rate this as one of the shining moments for heavy metal. Here it is, Live Aid, a concert with the biggest friggin' bands in the world (read; mainstream) and the Priest comes on with Living After Midnight which people know. Then they go DEEP into their catalog and represent with this incredible number. I was blown away, being a metal maniac. I couldn't believe they had the taste and balls to do this. Of course they followed up with YGATC!

  • This song is prophetic...Green Manalshi bringin' us down...making me do things I don't wanna do, making me see things I don't wanna see. The world is so Totally F*cked beyond F*cked that if I wasn't healthy I'd be so F'n Depressed!!!

    KILLER Live Performance!!!

  • badass song. fleetwood mac was the original but since green manalishi was a type of LSD its no wonder Halford liked the song. Priest rocks!

  • see too watch?v=PUw9jwtc4aQ

  • Watch Rob's theatrical stage language and passion! He has never looked as cool as he did at this gig!

  • Happy Holidays

    allancesu

  • is a fucking insult to intelligence. Where it has been the depth of the song peter green, or do you believe that talent is supplemented with the heavy metal, I break your ass with laughter.

  • @YoGroucho homo man

  • wooooooooooooooo hoooo hooo hooo hooo hooo hoooooooooooooooooo

  • Priest makes a decent 80s-metal-era song out this. But you must wonder what P. Green would (does) think of it. The fact that there are like 50,000 people there pretty much goes against what this song is really about. #farrrrrfromtruetotheoriginal

  • pretentious, it does'nt have that Draaaaaaagging sound like Green.

  • Holy shit they whipped that crowd into a frenzy if you listen at the end....and I remember that was a VERY hot day too...it was'nt stopping those metal maniacs in Philly!!

  • man Rob Really tapped into his gayness at 2:45 in that scream!! Hails!!

  • why does the camera always follow the wrong guitarist?

  • how large is halford's vocal range?

  • @heavyrules6699 about 5 octaves, but now 3 and half maybe few tones high..but still impressive

  • They're NOT in the R&R Hall of Lame beacause?

  • crap- sounds like a buzzy bee in a tin can

  • awesome

  • Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac - The Green Manalishi (With The Two Pronged Crown) did it in the 60s

  • fuking poder puneta woooo oooo oooooo WOOOO OOOOO OOOOOAHHHHHHHHH ta cabron

  • I wish I could go back in time and relive the 1980's!

  • I was born at age of 7 when my dad took my to buy my first casete and it was Iron Maiden... from then and still do listen to music like this . forever heavy!

  • My 6 Y/O son wanted to be Rob Halford for Halloween. He ended up changing to a Jedi but he still love the PRIEST. I told my wife I was glad because although it is awesome, I am not sure if any homoerotic S&M leather costumes are availible for kids that age and they would probably cost a fortune.

  • @kevinskogg You could probably buy pleather at a store that sells fabric by the yard and find a pattern, and if possible, you could probably buy studs at the same stores or online somewhere and make the costume. It probably would be ALOT cheaper than trying to find a S&M leather costume. Only a suggestion. ^^

  • \m/ buenísimo

  • you will never see or hear anything this powerful again....packed with a punch that gets your heartbeat going where you FEEL IT inside as it takes control reminding you that you're ALIVE ...thank you Mr. Halford

  • What you say what you say, heavy metal maniacs today? The Green Manalishi with two-proud-crown.

  • No auto-tune, no vocal effects, no lip synching. Nothing but RAW F*CKIN TALENT! WOOOOOOOOO!

  • @BMFRaw It ain't only RAW F*CKIN TALENT!! It's way more than that....it's ABSOLUTELY KILLER STYLE!!! PASSION THAT'S REAL AS STEEL!!!!! SUPER-COOL ROCKER IMAGE!!!! I still live in the FABULOUSLY WILD, HOT-ROCKIN' '80s!!!! When you look around at the fuckin' garbage in the modern world of music....devoid of passion, style, image,...it's fuckin' noise pollution!!! I really believe the world ended in 1990!!

  • @DrROXXX24 YEEEAYEAAAH!!! \m/

  • @DrROXXX24 yeap, the day Tyson got knocked out...

  • @DrROXXX24 The world ended in 1990, and The Painkiller is the 5th horsemen of the apocalypse!!!!! JUDAS FUCKIN' PRIEST!!!!!!!!!1

  • @BMFRaw Ya faaaagot no sleep and bright light fright ! haha

  • @BMFRaw KIck ass !

  • My first favorite, thank you for posting ! Judas Priest the metal KINGS !!

  • Rob Halford was a freak of nature

  • @NoLustLost92 You mean hi IS a freak...he's quite alive and sounding as awesome in his 60s as he did when he was 30. Going to see them on the 22rd of November in Toronto. Gonna rock as they always do.

  • Awesome performance from Judas Priest. This rocks!!!

  • I didnt care about hungry children in Africa, but I was hungry for judas priest and I 'd still be satisfied anno 21st century, I quess there will always be poor suffering children in africa they should give those africaners a video of priest!

  • this was originally a FLEETWOOD MAC song lol

  • @sepulthrax yeah, I was just on one of the channels playing the vid (fleetwood mac) had to roast some folks for bad mouthing Priest.

  • @EJoplinxx good for you...I do the same thing with ANTHRAX as a John Bush fan vs Belladonna & with Metallica as a Dave Mustaine fanatic!!!!!

  • @sepulthrax Yup and Priest made it so much better

  • @sepulthrax Yes, and "Diamonds And Rust" is a Joan Baez song. Go figure...

  • i was there fukers

  • Zep's Achilles rise again in 80s!

  • OMG listen to this loud with headphones! :)))))) Wow

  • gay moment at 2:48 hahaha

  • never aqueen ROB HALFORD HAS AVOICE

  • Live Aid 1985 Was the Greatest Day of Rock History...Rob Halford AND Freddie Mercury? Yea, I hate every one of those people for being able to be there, and I love em' for the very same reason! Rock On \m/

  • @Tenatiouz Word man. Word.

  • @Tenatiouz Priest was in the US and Queen at Wembley, they weren't on the same stage :p

  • This kicks major ass! So energetic! my favourite live performance, and for a good cause!

  • That shit smokes! ROB's voice is what I want to hear on the way out of this life.

  • HE LOOKS HOTT!

  • @c1lonely123 His name is Rob Halford and he is the same guy who sang the cover of Johnny B Goode. That song was on the Judas Priest "Ram It Down" album from 1988. Keep on rockin!

  • yep i remember watching this very exciting for me memorys

they were in their metal prime! british metal rules!

  • Amazing Band from Birmingham UK

  • Fuck YEAH If you don't like this song you should be punched in the face and or crotch. \m/

  • Can you believe that 1985 was a huge year for metal, and there was only TWO metal bands on this bill: Sabbath and Priest? Granted, along with Led Zeppelin playing, what else is there, right? At that point in time though, Led Zeppelin was finished, Black Sabbath only had Toni and maybe Geezer left, and Priest was kinda past thier prime and all in their late 30's. Motley Crue, Whitesnake, and the Scorpions would have been best at this show.

  • @casbah1982 Instead of Whitesnake, Iron Maiden would have been a better choice. It's all opinion though, right

  • @casbah1982 Halford, Ian and KK was 34 here, Tipton 38 :P Or they were gonna turn that year :) I think maybe Priest are past their time now, but in 1985 they were on the top, and still had some years on the top left.

  • halford is the metal god

  • The best version of this song. It kicks donkeys

  • Check out my kids - I think our 3 year old understands

  • i got my tickets to see priest live in october... but watching this video makes me so sad that i dont get to see kk play.

  • @TropianTV dont worry i saw them last month with richy and hes better than anyone expected. gonna see them again next week at wacken!

  • I like this version of this song. But the original kicks so much more ass!!!

  • @sinbysin666 YEP

  • ive never seen preist this ass-bad before. then again i am only 15

  • No , they didnt like metal in the 80's. Just listen to the crowd. Mixed crowd at that. They just had thier asses kicked. LOL

  • @SCORNDOGGMELACH They didn't like this kind of metal they liked the kind of metal in Judas Priest Turbo album. They liked synthezisers that type of stuff, thats why pop was huge in the 80's

  • Rob @ 2:35, enough said.

  • Watching this video makes me sad. The 80s just ain't gonna happen again. Rob Halford, although still a better singer than most is not going to get back his old voice, KK's left and these days any band looking like that would most likely be laughed off stage. If only things could be like this again: two great guitarists, a great singer, a great drummer, a row of Marshalls and the bassist in his rightful place (Just kidding, Ian's a freakin' legend).

  • 2:35...just love these notes

  • I think the people in Africa would have been happier with a Priest concert than with food.

  • @techyourself I could throw off eating for a few days for some Priest tickets

  • @techyourself glad that your thinking is so excellent..can i meet you?.i have a plan for another..aid sort of concert...lets get the suckers!!!!!.

  • @techyourself ahahahaahahah mate Youre awesome

  • @techyourself I'm in Africa (Egypt) and I surely would :D

  • How nobody notice that he was THAT gay...????... jejeje No ofense, Halford is a God!!

  • @tayarinecr You should see the Heading Out to the Highway video...

  • Judas Priest covering Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac. Hey that's not "breaking the law." That's just great respect for a song; imitation is the highest form of flattery.

  • A so called freind of mine once said to me, "Why don't you stop being such a metal-head and start being an actual girl for once?" Well, my fat drunken ex-friend, Judas Priest is my reason why.

  • @DenimAndLeather626 If there was a contradiction between being an actual girl and a metalhead... Well, I'd rather continue being a metalhead. Though I don't see what my taste in music has with my sex to do.

  • @RockerSilent I agree. But you know, there are those people who just figure that since you have a vagina you should be listening to Taylor Swift while painting your nails instead of in the pit with a bunch of sweaty men at a Megadeth concert. This chick just didn't like how I refused to take my clothes off and get drunk to jump into a pool haha and so she, for some reason, thought that was a lack femininity due to my liking of heavy metal.

  • @DenimAndLeather626

Hahaha ! What a coincidence, denim and leather is exactly what i wore today, at the SUPER AWESOME JUDAS PRIEST SHOW in my town.

It was 2.5 hours of pure metal awesomeness !

If u think i'll miss a Judas Priest concert... you've got another thing coming ! YEAH, YEAH !!!

  • @mancamiatipoola u weren't the only one to wear that on Sunday. :P

It was an incredibly awesome concert :D

  • @DenimAndLeather626 Don't ever change!

  • @DenimAndLeather626 I get the same thing for being 43 and still loving metal. People think it's a phase and can't understand why you listen to it beyond high school. Meanwhile, Misogynistic Rap and hip-hop is the pinnacle of talent to them. Whatever!

  • @peaveyandsmolski I know, right? To me, heavy metal is really an esoteric kind of genre. When most people hear it they only hear anger and rage, like pubecent teenagers who refuse to cut their hair or buy a pair of jeans that don't sport holes. Not many people can understand the empowerment behind it and thank god for that. Heavy Metal for forever reign as king! What other genre's amp can go up to eleven, right?

  • @peaveyandsmolski Metal improves with age; I'm 39 myself. Priest, Motely Crue, Twisted Sister were all big growing up in the 80's. However, sometime in about 1993 my tastes changed and as I got older I needed my metal to be harder. Sepultura, Napalm Death, Carcass, Pantera, Crowbar, Bathory, Slayer etc. were the bands that satisfied my pallet. I don't listen to the 80's stuff at all except Iron Maiden and Metallica, whereas today I still buy Amon Amarth, Opeth, Mastodon, etc.

  • @DenimAndLeather626 i love u priest rocks

  • @DenimAndLeather626 Way to go girl.

  • @DenimAndLeather626 cool story thumbwhore keep it up

  • @DenimAndLeather626 i got the same thing from many christians when i used to preach in churches many years ago - they were like why do you wear those boots and jeans and that leather jacket - wanting me to CONFORM to them - i said, cuz i'm a metal head and jesus accepts me JUST AS I AM..! lol :)

like the song goes, GOD GAVE ROCK AND ROLL TO YOU!

(to heck with anyone that doesn't accept you for being a metal head)

    YEAH!

  • @DenimAndLeather626 Hell yeah, Priest is the answer to those who says there aren't any good music of these days...

  • @DenimAndLeather626 YES!! a girl that listens to heavy metal! go out with me now! haha

  • @johngarcia007 Okay! How about we meet in a secluded area, like, behind an abandoned grocery store by some garbage cans where there are no possible chances of you raping and killing me? :]

  • @DenimAndLeather626 .... :D

  • over 440 000 views n 27 fools had to hit "hate" button, hahaha, i bet thy cant live withthemselfs how patetic thy are... cant fkkn belive, this here was master-performing, seriously kickass!!!

  • This did not sound as good on my parent's MAGNAVOX console...but thank GOD we had a VCR and that I actually paid for the cable TV at our house!!! Still got those tapes for the memories!

  • nothing compared to peter green.

  • @eamon305 these comparisons are pointless... Priest probably are Peter Green fans just like you (and me)and they sure never thought of their version being better. It's just a blues rock song in a metal version which is a very cool idea in my opinion.

  • @WizardofFuzz good point i guess your right

  • @eamon305 Judas priest as a band is much better than Peter Green. But yeah, it's his song, and everyone knows that. But it's cool that they did their own version =)

  • @kranen1 god no.... sounds like plastic shit. peter was way better

  • @Ukabumba Depends if you like Blues or Heavy Metal ^^ But I see your point. I hate when some bands make covers of great songs. But this is a good cover and a different version of a great song :)

  • @kranen1 i much prefer peter green as a band then judas priest.. :/

  • Rock n roll will never die...+

  • kicking ass...standard...

  • hmmm... I respect Halford and all but he really isn't hitting those high notes at the end... Even I hit them better :|

  • @TreCoolness We would love to hear a demonstration!

  • @TreCoolness You know that every one has his own way and Halford sing this way he dont And i cant say that he dont Sing this High Notes.. and you wont do em better so please dont trol..

  • It's clear as day here that Rob Halford is gay. Check out his walk and hand gestures!

  • @funkblue2 yeah and hes still fucking badass!

  • KK is the man.

  • got to love the marshalls... mmm yummie

  • Don't recall at all that this was part of Live Aid!!!!!!

One of my favourite numbers with Priest!

  • theyre so fucking cool !! XD

  • Long Live JFK Stadium Long Live Judas Priest !!!!!

  • Rob has hair!

  • Comment removed

  • I really liked their rendition of Joan Biaz's song. This song is the shit!!

  • @darkknight9761 unless ur talking aboput the originla then fuck you

  • 2:10 - 2:16 he is definetely not gay)

  • yeah but Fleetwood Mac were only good for a very very very very short period of time while Priest never sucked

  • Funny that not many metal fans know this is a cover of an old Fleetwood Mac song written by Peter Green. \m/ >.< \m/

  • Halford looks like he's hiding his hangover behind those glasses...

  • I think the camera guy had a hard on for KK LOL

  • @atomicplayboy4u

    I sure do... =D

  • 42 years young Juan!

  • @Polly1244 I wouldn't say raped by a phony. You can't compare the 2 versions. One is haunting & bluesy & the other just all out rocks. Why can't you listen to a song for what it is????????? This is like saying that Nazareth raped the Joni Mitchel song This Flight Tonight. Can't compare them either both are great. SO get over it

  • F***ing hell!!!

  • 25 GREEN Bieber, boy band fans need to grow a pair & loose the skirt. This kicks ASS!

  • I was there! Good times.

  • @thunders5291 You must be old right now then

  • first of all, without the blues,we would have no hardrock/heavymetal.

have some respect for the originators.

i am very pissed that this is priests last tour.FUCK!

  • @BulletWithYerName your right.. If it wern't for black blues artists, we wouldn't have metal, rock n' roll, rap, hip hop, they really did a lot to help start the foundation for a lot of the music we listen to today...

    Peace

  • isthere any metyal band better than this???NONE!!!!!

  • @uiwqe Merciful Fate.YO.
