  • @jolo1535 Older cartoons made up the bulk of Cartoon Network's programming at the time.

  • What if instead of One a Two, what if she said Sexy shoe?

Man... remember that shit? String cheese?

Remember that bump where... I think it was that wolf-like guy from the WB cartoons, runs out of "cartoon network," which is just printed on the side of a mayonaise jar, at like 2 in the morning, and he has to rush to the 24 hour convenience store where Droopy works?

    Has somepony uploaded that yet?

  • Primo stuff,Overhazard!

  • @ratheruggedmanfan Actually,it's Biggie Smalls.

  • You people never heard of him referred to as Biggie Smalls?

    wow.

  • @ratheruggedmanfan I figured it must be a regional thing.

  • @ratheruggedmanfan I had only ever heard him referred to as "Notorious B.I.G." or as "B.I.G.," never "Biggie."

  • great things were happening when Cartoon Network was around

  • is droopy saying "i like boys?" hahahaha.

  • @datspanishguy He's saying, "All right, boys."

  • Ah OK, I thought he said "I Like Bowling".

  • I love this ad so much I want to take it out behind the middle school and get it pregnant.

  • At the beginning it sounded like Droopy said "I like boys"

  • Wow... 15 years later and I can still sing along with it. Thanks for the memories.

  • I was born in 1993. Why do I remember this?

  • this is biggie, right??

  • @IlikepurpleXP What is biggie?

  • @Overhazard He's referring to The Notorious B.I.G, Hip-Hop "legend".

Personally, I think it's Biz Markie, late '80's rapper who's worked on kids programming (i.e that Gabba show on Nick) before. Either him or some nobody who we'll never find out about.

  • @Overhazard biggie was a rapper, he was shot back in 1997

  • @TheCBNtv I see--Notorious B.I.G. I've heard of him, but not as "Biggie."

  • @TheCBNtv he had different names

  • @Overhazard LMAO

Saludos

  • @IlikepurpleXP no disrespect, but HECK NO. i'm not sure who is raping but i know for a fact it is not biggie smalls

  • 90's was Hip-Hop's golden age...also Cartoon Network's

  • yeah the guys right what about ed edd n eddy

  • @tomtombro3 Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy premiered in 1999, long after this commercial.

  • Wow, that was awesome. I miss the good old days of cartoon network =( , it was at it's pinnacle when Toonami was on.

  • some of theese shows are on boomarege

  • wow that was so cool

  • I miss those old days of the CartoonNetwork no u wouldn' t believe. They really killed it when they took off toonami and T.O.M. that was the shit we only get glimmers of the past not that some of the new shows bad it just that the don't meet up to the old standard of the good old days of CN. I hoped one day they wise up bring back some old and with the new to make strong than ever for the future of us avid cartoon watchers young, old or just those who never want to grow up n lose their past.

  • This Song Has Better Lyrics Than Lil Wayne, 90's <3

  • What about scooby doo

  • @bparker65 What about Scooby-Doo?

  • Oh my God...thank you.

  • @scabbarae You're welcome. I found this videotape once again but...my VCR is now on the fritz.

  • WAS THAT ME OR WAS THAT STAR TREK TAS?

  • @KelliYakkoPetrelli I don't remember Star Trek: The Animated Series being in this sequence. Where did you see it?

  • @Overhazard i think i was wrong. i saw a woman that looked like nurse chapel, but that might have been someone else. @ 0:10. i think it was from the fantastic four.

  • @KelliYakkoPetrelli wow i watch too many abridged series

  • The interesting thing about Cartoon Network(besides the fact that Hanna Barbera went defunct in 2001) was that pretty much all of the shows on cartoon network were from the 60's and 70's. I just remember Swat Cats and Two Stupid Dogs as being the only 90's cartoons. But that's okay it's all good. Hanna died in 2001 and Barbera died in 2006, at least thats what I think.

  • PURE FIREEEEE!!!!!!!! LORD HAVE MURCEEEEEEE

  • yayz

  • I remember this! Haha nostalgia <3

  • You are amazing dude, these were the days.

  • I cant thank you enough for you uploading this clip from 95 when i see this and the checkerboard cartoon network trailer it takes me back to when my two sons were toddlers and id wake them up to watch all the cartoons i watched and they would pass out with me it was so awsome

    thank you again

  • @dadadruma You're welcome. I was surprised I was the first one to put this up.

  • @Overhazard it was one of those gems that seem to slip the mind but i totally remember seeing it when it first aired and how they sampled droopys voice "all right boys" cartoon network "a one a two" lol was epic

    cheers my friend

  • i just love old Cartoon network

  • Those were the days, I remember Cartoon Network was like the Holy Grail for most kids who grew up in the 80's and 90's. I really wish they had some sort of service that allowed you to go back to earlier broadcasts, so then I could watch the same tv I remember growing up with.. actually with today's ever advancing computers and the fact that most channels keep old broadcasts in archive it just might happen someday, but it would still create a confusing situation when it comes to broadcast rights.

  • @PrimeraxEspadaxStark There's an approximate to that in the form of streaming and the downloads of individual episodes (mostly to smartphones, iPods, and iPads). Of course, as I say this, they're being strung up considerably by copyrights and trademarks.

There is also the fact that the older a program is, the harder it is to sell it. A good example is Mobile Suit Gundam--despite being a classic, sales tanked in the USA for everything associated with it.

  • @PrimeraxEspadaxStark you can watch boomerang its cartoon networks channel that they just put 80's and 90's show its old shows

  • @talose121 For the record, there is no need to post a comment more than once. The reason why you don't see them is because they won't show up until I approve of them.

There were so many flame wars going on in this comments list that I had to step in and get rid of any flame bait.

  • i miss these shows

  • holly shit i remember this wow im gettin old

  • 8 justin bieber fan !!

  • Oi on 0:05 That dude sounded like he said " I Like Boys" ?! LOLZ

  • What are those 2 Cartoons after Jonny Quest Jr. @0:33 ... I am searching for their names since ... I don't know how long... ages.

  • @MiauZi69 The superhero standing next to Jonny Quest is Space Ghost. Right after that is a guy from Centurions (I forgot what his name is). Immediately after him are the Galaxy Trio. They consist of Vapor Man, Meteor man, and Gravity Girl.

  • @MiauZi69 The one Shown with Johnny Quest is Space Ghost.

  • I remember this! But I thought it was '94.

  • @JerryM69 The other commercials in the videotape had copyright dates reading 1995, which is why I put that as the year of this commercial.

  • I can't really say that I liked the rap (or really ever remember seeing this commerial at all). But what I do remember are the old cartoons on Cartoon Network. The sad thing is, Cartoon Network got rid of its old shows (which is what all tv networks do from time to time), but once they got rid of Toonami and Friday Night Cartoons that is when CN started to fall apart (or at least in my opinion). But I always hope that one day they will get a show that brings them back to their roots.

  • THE GOOD TIMES

  • wow, if we could go back to like 96 or 97, u had your mix of new and upcoming cartoons (johnny bravo/dexter) and classic (droopy/tom n jerry)

  • @roaddoggdjf Technically, Dexter is still ongoing...but it's a prime time serial and a completely different show than Dexter's Laboratory.

  • @Overhazard yea the animation is different and it kinda lost it's touch.. can't beat the original.

  • @STBNY That's not what I meant. I refer to the unrelated show simply called "Dexter."

  • I remember that! I have that recorded on video too!

    Awesome song.

  • Dude, i remember this Rap!!!!

  • I was 14 at this time. Then I could watch cartoon network all day. Now I only watch Family guy and The Boondocks

  • woooow i used to love this commercial.... yoooo good look cause i was thinkin about this song the other day... lmao.....

  • Good Memories

  • This was the start of something big on CN which somehow intergrated woth Toonami. Sadly though, the day Toonami went off so did me watching CN. I mean Nick has better shows now.

  • This was in 1995?

  • @bub777 According to the copyright information on the rest of the videotape, yes, it was.

  • this is one of the golden days of cartoon network that todays generation cartoon network is lacking a lot. i miss my old cartoon charectors......

  • Kickin it old school

  • At first I thought huckleberry was saying "I like boys." O_o But he really is saying "alright boys"

  • @MrGoomba909 That's Droopy saying that, actually. Huckleberry Hound is the blue one with the necktie.

  • @Overhazard Oh, sorry about that. but seriously, they really should have realized some people would mishear that. Ah, whatever, It's a great song.

  • @MrGoomba909 Nah, no need to apologize.

That being said, this clip of Droopy is taken directly from one of his old cartoons. So don't blame Cartoon Network for it; blame MGM for making whatever cartoon short this clip came from.

  • @Overhazard ok, I'll blame metro golden mayer, and my own perverted brain for even thinking of that.

  • @MrGoomba909 To be honest, at the time, no, because I'm sure most, at the time, had seen the cartoon that the sound clip was from. I can only seeing what you said applying to now, not then.
