I need to learn how to get air like that. Where it's not really jumps but you get decent air and some style. That was pretty sweet to watch you ride down, looked like a really sunny day!
@epluribusunom Haha! The full speed blind butter? I thought you were talking about 1:53. There was a huge chunk of ice in the side of the run I did not see till the last moment.. but all worked out fine ;)
@10babiscar I ride a 161.5 T.Rice for powder etc. I have the Riot centered up for hardpack/park so naturally it wants to dive in pow unless I lean back all the time (not fun). If you are not in a position to own two boards.. you can most likely just set your stance back for pow days. Definitely is nice riding a board designed for deeper snow on those days (soft nose, stiffer tail, extra length, and a inches or two setback).
@IAmTheFanboy74u Take what you learned riding regular and apply it to riding backwards. Its all mental so just relax and keep your board under control.
Wow bro! I snowboard at Whiteface. I use Tony Hawk Helmet cam though. And I strap it to my helmet. It is not nearly as good quality as this. Please check out some of my videos. Also, my camera doesn't record sound. But please check out my video!
rad video. I have those same boots, they come loose after a few runs. every notice that? love them but looking for a solution to keep them tight all day.
@lukehmail I have not had that problem and I ride my boots pretty tight. I hold the speedzone handles tight and then straighten my leg out and lean back/pull hard at the same time then lock the speedzones in at the tightness I like. Sometimes they are too tight and I need to loosen them actually haha!
hi im looking into getting into snowboarding and was looking at buying the bataleon roit your riding. would are your thoughts on the board and would you recommend it to a beginner. if not what would be good a good board
@rudywack I would suggest not as the riot is a stiff board, which are not suited to beginners. If you are after a bataleon I would suggest the evil twin or goliath as the have a softer flex.
any chance you could make a vid spraying plankers on the way down :).. also a powder vid would be sweet.. by far best instructional vid without any instructions.. !!!
You looked really calm and relaxed during that run. I like that you left the audio in rather than put music over it. Here's a question: were you changing to switch riding periodically just to rest your front foot a bit?
@TheJbetteridge Thanks for the comment! As for riding switch in this video, no.. That's just how I ride groomers to keep things fun as I am a fairly ambidextrous rider. You are completely correct though, switch riding saves your stamina for sure! I do that all the time on long slow traverses. :)
@ZPraterful I can understand that!! I live in the prairies and I need to drive 11+ hours each way to ride. Snowboarding is such a huge part of my life though so it is worth it.
damn you are good with that monopod

@corruptmindcom
so when using a centered stance this board is okay in powder e.g. 5 out of 10?
if so would you recommended different board for an all mountain true twin.
10babiscar 15 hours ago
@10babiscar Using a centered stance is not good in powder with any board IMHO.

@rudywack I couldn't say for sure as I don't know your specs. Go to a local snow shop and talk to someone who rides. They will help you get setup.
