Mr. Magenta is a perfect example of why I have a love/hate relationship with this game. The graphics are amazing, and it just feels like the classic Metroid games, BUT... some of the bosses in this game are brutal! Now that I'm older, I kind of relish the challenge, but as a kid, the picky hit detection drove me absolutely nuts.

josh giving u alil hint, if you spin jump towards the wall then quickly press the opposite direction and jump you will wall kick, u could use that to get up to higher places that you would normally need double jump or high jump for

@JoshJepson Don't be too hard on yourself, dude. Mr. Magenta is one of the harder bosses in the game, imo. I hate him anyway. His hit target box is so small and he's so fast when he reaches his advanced "stages" that it boils down to luck a lot of the time. He's one of the few bosses in Metroid history that you can completely own in one run through and get your ass kicked by him the very next run through.

@ForeverDegenerate ... reminds me of the spider... there's like one safe spot for the first phase, but for some odd reason it only works half the time. Sometimes you'll not get hit once, other times he's got like huge reach and can grab you from pretty far away. :<
