In my opinion, the best song of the first EP of Incubus, that's also the best one they've ever made. "Enjoy Incubus" was powerful and funky with a great line up, DJ Life and Dirk Lance were totally amazing. Also Science was a pretty good album, but after that, they lost the funk, the power and the willing to do somethin' new along the way.

I feel for Shamrock956 and BANDJAZZY I actually did go though highschool in the late 90's somewhere in the mid-west, but let me tell you we felt the same as you did. I saw Incubus with Snot, System of a Down, and Soulfly roughly 1 month after this video was made... trust me they were not popular at that time, and we had to hunt to find the good stuff. buuuuuut we did get our pay back  later when a bunch of those bands hit MTV etc. Keep hunting the good crap is out there!

Yeah I have a constant reminder of that day because above my eye was split open pretty bad. Scar through my eyebrow to this day! They were the first act and every seat had a press packet with "science guy" masks etc...yep we tossed them under the chairs :( stupid me. System was very good that day, and if you haven't checked out snot please do so. Their singer (and dog/mascot) was killed shortly after the show I was at. Somewhere there is a tribute album to him with 7dust etc.

Incubus thanks Mr. Bungle in their Fungus Amongus EP liner notes. Incubus was influenced - they didn't rip. That is how music works - and it made some amazing music with Incubus.

id say it has more to do with their age, just because they did drugs, doesnt mean every show they were trippin, and they were always energetic during this time, and also this is over 10 years ago, they obviously are gunna be slowing down a little since then.... i think personally that they prolly dont have it anymore, im not sure about incubus, but i do know bands like korn, who have been around since the early 90s need to stretch before going on stage with a trainer,i doubt they did 10 yearsago

never generalize about drugs because that whole sentence is completely false. Maybe drugs would have a slight effect on their performance, but who said they ever said they stopped using drugs? Also they were a lot younger, only being around the ages of 17 and such, and that they hadn't reached mainstream success yet. Once they did they moved more towards the alternative side, which appealed to more fans. I'm sure drugs had a minimal effect on any of that.
