They probably kept the air conditioner down low that day at the St. Paul's so the breeze wouldn't flap the Prince's elephantine ears and cause him to launch into orbit, or get his huge earfans to get caught in the rafters of the cathedral. "I say, I'm a bit stuck up here, chap, my monstrous ear flaps have blown me up here! Would you be a good old bloke and saw me down, mate?"
Thanks very much for posting this. Hard to remember this from early in the morning all those years ago. It's great to have this to compare to the William and Catherine wedding now.
@ramruth why would she sing it?? People sing it to respect her, it would seem too prideful if she sang it. He has to sing it, she is his Majesty, whether they are married or not.
@ramruth .........actually the national anthem of Great Britain's God Save the King/Queen solely sung intended for the sitting monarch and because Elizabeth 2 is the present Queen she need not to sing at all for obvious reason.....she is The Queen!.... FYI
@azeunero1397 - the hymn is 'I Vow to The My Country', which is set to the music of Jupiter, from Holst's The Planets.

Interesting how The Queen doesn't sing "God Save The Queen", but Prince Phillip does. I think we know who wears the pants in that family...
