  • Can't wait for the new album!!!!!!!!

  • I gotta say, it's getting nice and heavy.

  • There must be a God, now what really blew up in the "Big Bang?" If this event took place on a Tuesday.... I would like to talk about what was in existence on that Monday before. However, I think we can all agree that if a God is perfection... then it must look down and smile on our little band Rush. Nice job gentlemen, you came close.

  • I AM PROUD TO SAY THIS SONG DOES NOT APPLY TO ME!!!! :D i am 13 and have lived in a christian home since day 1 but recently with my intense interesting in Astronomy and Physics i have realized the bible makes no sense (please don't attack me for saying that) the only thing i still beleive is that God initiated the big bang and then left the universe alone (because nothing exploding makes no sense) but other than that I AM A PROUD SEMI-ATHEIST!!!

  • @1KevinsFamousChili1 religion brainwashes people in my opinion, so i tend to avoid it. keep an open mind though.

  • @rush2795 oh ya of course right now God starting the big bang is just because we have no answer right now but guranteed if someone comes up with someway that the big bang started that needs no god involved i will change my belif again

  • @1KevinsFamousChili1

Well if time and space originated with the big bang, any attempts to explain its origin would sound kind of fishy

  • i seen them four times and how old am i !! 12!!!!!!! haha they rock but i got to give it to em paul mccartney in concert is better then rush but rush still rocks!!!!!!

  • a kick ass band with a kick ass song!!! reaction when i first herd it? i wanna go to see them in concert!!! i love this song soo fuckin much!!

  • I think this band is great, they are too old to be politically correct so they defend atheism in a way that nobody dares, I love Neil Peart, not only for his drumming ability but also for being such a brave and honest writer, This song kicks some serious azz too

  • My ex-boyfriend is a massive Rush fan, but I never really liked them. I must not have been listening before because after listening to a lot of their stuff, I realize these guys are GOOD. Dunno what my problem was before...

  • Seeing them tonight, Vancouver, 25th row on Alex' side. CAN'T WAIT !!

  • @Dupdawg72 Gah, so lucky man. They aren't even touring near me this year :(

  • @btdrumz you're both lucky! I live in italy and they've come here only two times some years ago D: i can't see them live.....

  • @Dupdawg72 i won tickets to that just over an hour befor the concert started :D row 17

it was awesome, what did you think?

  • @TheHopefullactress absolutely amazing. And you must have been one of the plethora of beauties in the crowd that night. Way more hotties walking around than I would have thought for Rush. hehe.

  • @Dupdawg72 i was suprised how many kids were there, i saw a 2 or 3 year old kid there,

the whole time at the concery, the people sitting across the isle from me were smoking really strong stuff. it was funny how when the security came down, how they managed to hide it. also got almost 2 cups of beer dumped on my foot :P

  • @TheHopefullactress People and their feet! Wear closed toed shoes, moron complainers, It's not Disneyland, folks. If you don't want gunja being smoken in your pathetic kid's face, get them the fuck out of the area. Libertarians rule, bleeding heart liberals get all the pain they deserve!

  • @SuperMegaUberGenius i was wearing runners. i just found it funny :)

  • @Dupdawg72 you are so fucking lucky

  • Such a great show. I'm an old rocker and never thought I'd hear some of those songs live, like 2112 and La Villa Strangiato. Can't believe the amount of insane drummers I've seen recently, too. Peart obviously. Iron Maiden/Dream Theater last year (McBrain and Portnoy), saw Tool not too long ago (Carey), saw Anvil here in a little club in Victoria (Rob Reiner), and Ozzy's new drummer is pretty wicked, too. But that Rush show was awesome. The 2nd set alone was worth the price of admission.

  • This song is so heavy live. The album version does it no justice.

  • As good as their albums are, Rush is like a million times better live! Go see them if you haven't yet you will NOT be disappointed

  • anyhoo, well i'll just keep rolling along along with the goodness from the Lord above.

  • Rush is too good for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Jazz artists can stay there, cause it's a form of rock, but they need to Clean up the Pop artists that are there and need to add some Prog Artists in their

  • The rock and roll hall of fame needs to be given a big enema, to clean out some of the crap that's in there.

  • I don't think you should be that upset by Rush not being in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. I'm a major Deep Purple (nor are they in) fan, and Ritchie Blackmore have said, that it's not important, cause' there are too many in there, which have nothing to do with Rock n' Roll. And he's right. Madonna, Michael Jackson, Jackson 5 and ABBA are all there??? It's like we skould be hounered that our favourite band aren't in there with those non Rock n' Rollers! Or should we? ;)

  • Four people have voted and shown us all they have an extra chromosome.

  • neither death defying nor mutilating, nor morals had disappeared, so... braveaux!

    b/c we're winning

    sorry for your sordid souls

the only reason i pray for you douchebag bashing athiests is that heaven must have the joy and pain also, eh?

  • If I were Rush, I would be very weary of any club that would have Madonna as a member. YES, I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • slappa da baseman

  • Screw the HoF - who gives a crap, there's a lot of mediocre in there anyway.

  • Rock n Roll HOF want's to be in RUSH

  • @KyranatorT1000 RIGHT, joined them in Frankfurt on may, 29th - absolutely amaizing - the older the better ! hope to see them another couple of times

  • every time i see an airplane fly by now, i see steam and bicycle chains getting caught up in first gear. Damn raptures' talons and tales of dragons watching from afar, if we are only members of the Human race, no supra-natural space, would it be the same that the devil would care, or in the temples and the marketplace?

  • @KyranatorT1000 I'm gonna see them in 2 days :O

Can't wait, this is definately the best thing in my agenda this year.

  • i actually like this song a lot

  • Aw man, I fucking LOVE RUSH!!!

  • 4 peeps doesn't like... HOW?

  • Rush has one of the best drummers around. :-)

  • Brought up to BEEEEEELIEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEE ;D

  • Pray for Pratt City

  • I don’t want to be any kind of a “basher” (except on the drums), and thinking over that concept launched a train of thought—a train hauling boxcars full of mental freight that will need to be unloaded sometime soon (on you, patient reader).

    so steampunk toat

  • hey sorry

  • Why do progressive rock bands resort to getting heavier as a form of progression. I get it, electronic music is the dominating force nowadays and the only resistance is to fall back on the old days of guitar, bass and drums, but this is too heavy for me.

Just because it is RUSH ( which has been my favorite band since I was 8) does not mean that it is good.

Check out the music of Memory Tapes and Caribou

  • @bmtabasco9 Even though they stopped using them?

  • @bmtabasco9 The last album was acoustic based and they wanted to make this album more electric according to Alex...

  • @bmtabasco9 correct, good bands still have crap songs, this is one of them, loud blaring noise, just awful.

  • I am going to the show June 30th in vancouver. For weeks ive been dreaming about it over and over.

  • @StickHits Ur goanna have a great time. I just saw them in Los Angeles, check out my videos.

  • Everytime I see these guys I'm more amazed. This is my new favorite song. I've only seen them 32 times in the last 34 years. Click if your a Rushacondriac.

  • 3 people hit the wrong button again....

  • RUSH is music.

  • Just saw them in Cleveland. The first time I saw them was 30 years ago. They are better than ever. They could outplay any band, new or old.

  • I love you guys! This song is awesome!

  • so was this song a response to U2's blatent syping on your vertigo video?

  • better as if you stand or sit there and ask me what i thought of this song

    1BU2BU2B2BZ1

  • I was called a nerd sometimes for be a musician and liking Rush in school. Tell me, where are Poison, Gun's and Roses, Def Leppard, Cinderella, Roxy Blue, Brittany Fox, LA Guns, Quiet Riot, and even the mighty Van Hallen? The list could go on and on and on, but Rush NEVER stopped and have never needed to "make a comeback". Now it's "cool" to like Rush and I'm like "No shit."

  • @hopethisisthelast No disrespect, but actually Def Leppard is still going strong after 30+ years and have a new album coming out next month called Mirrorball. They also have just released a brand new single called Undefeated, and it rocks pretty hard. Check it out when you get a chance. Cheers!

  • rush is amazin.....f u all who think they suck and whoever made this is awsomeeeee

  • Real fans know who the poet is!!!!

  • @sgrigy94 Neil Peart!!!

  • The Bee of 2012

  • Don't put Rush in the Hall Of Fame, it's a pointless pile of shit, Rush is not a pointless piece of shit. It would detract from their epicness if anything!

  • Whats the point of the RnR Hall of Fame anyways? I don't let other people decide what's timeless to me. Rush Forever!

  • so many undeserving have made the rock hall...for crying out loud...PUT RUSH IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the bass line from about 2:22 and then when Lifeson's little riff kicks in at about 2:50. One of my favorite Rush songs. It's a little heavier than the stuff I grew up on back in the 70's but these guys still deliver the goods.

  • Chuck Norris is afraid of Geddy Lee.

  • The R N' R hall of fame's council is retarted, and obviously won't put Rush in because Rush's lyrics require you to think.

  • Being a RUSH fan, I was a bit disappointed with their progression in the late 80's, but realized that was the reason I am such a big fan....because they go outside the box and take different angles in their music playing. As far as their live shows go, these guys just ROCK HARDER and GET BETTER with age. RUSH and ROLL!

  • Alex Lifeson: Hating guitar solos since around 1982.

  • love rush amazing shit

  • obviously the real and TRUE rush fans grow with rush grow with all of their different styles of music in each record thats the difference between rush and so many other bands their style of music never stays the same always progressing so 2 all u fans that are basically disappointed in Rush's new material just be happy their still out and kicking ass!!!!

  • Can someone PLEASE put these guys where they belong...in the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame...I mean, HELLO...it's RUSH for cryin' out loud!!!

  • @StarSaber7 im sorry man, but the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame rarely acceps any good bands

  • @benalmodova Sadly, you're right. It's a shame...truly a shame....

  • @benalmodova Case in point: isn't Lady Gaga in the R&R HoF?

Just kidding! But, I bet she will be down the road......

  • @StarSaber7 that guy in the red suit in cleveland with the gilded pitcher which said "neil sticks please" was also at the detroit show but for some reason he ditched the red suit. Anyway, wondering which route we should take between Sleep Country and George Washington. It's a four hour drive which could last four days. A three hour tour, a three hour tour.

  • @StarSaber7 Both hard rock and prog make Jann Wenner cry, so I doubt they're going in.

  • @StarSaber7 Rush don't WANT to be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. If you haven't already, watch RUSH TALKS ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME SNUB. I've read comments on that video that basically say, to me at least, "Rush are too good for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame." I'm sure I've read a comment somewhere that says exactly that, but I'm not sure if it was on that video.

  • @StarSaber7 They are too good for the Hall of Fame. They need the Hall of Epic.

  • @wierdman21 Very true...except THEY'D be the only entries...which in essence is a good thing.

  • @StarSaber7 That is so true.=D

  • @StarSaber7 the hall of fame doesn't exist. Because rush isnt in it

  • @Locoroco2fan Well said Locoroco, well said.

  • This and Caravan are awesome songs. The breakdown in Caravan is so reminiscent of Moving Pictures. Bring on Clockwork Angels!

  • Rush ROCKS, but I'm just not digging their new sound... sounds more like METAL than progressive rock! And, before you tell me I don't know Rush... I've been a huge fan from the beginning... I even play in a Rush cover band. I appreciate what their trying to do musically with their new material, but it's so different from their old stuff, that I just don't see a connection to what they used to be!

  • Geddy may not be able to hit the high notes like he used to, but I like his voice with the lower tone. It really doesn't matter though - the music is just too damn good to complain about.

  • Yo NetBoy2112, I find it quite ironic that the voice, the high pitched voice that made so-called critics cringe, now makes so-called fans whine because it has mellowed and become more refined. Look, either stay on the bus for the continual metamorphic Rush ride our GET THE FUCK OFF AND MAKE ROOM FOR REAL FANS!!

    R

  • I love Rush, but you have to admit, Geddy just doesn't have the voice he used to. He even strains to reach some of the more modest 80's notes these days. Everything from Vapor Trails on makes him sound like he's going to faint when he has to sing in a higher pitch.

  • this song sounds far to mainstream for rush... the sound somthing like sonata arctica (i hate sonata, btw)

  • @montruo000000007

you are fucking dumb, this sounds nothing like sonata arctica, consider the fact that they're completely different genres

    Rush FTW

  • Will be watching them in Manchester UK on the 19th May, can't wait to listen to the new tracks live...been following their music and seeing them live for over 25 years...keep on Rocking boys...

  • WOW!!!!

  • this some of the best material ever! Get used to it.

  • I'm definitely in the minority when I say this but I'm not liking the new material. Too technical, too much guitar layering, geddy needs to sing less, and neil needs to put away the richard dawkins books.

  • @dmskimount granted the new stuff isn't as good, i'd rather listen to average rush stuff than 99% of band's greatest album.

  • Tickets for the Time Machine Tour , Hamilton Concert go on sale tomorrow.. yeah BABY~~~~~~~~~`

  • Who's going to the show in Greensboro on April 1st?? I know I am! And it'll be my first Rush concert/1st concert in my life. This will be such a treat.

  • @splintercellfan2007

You're in for an absolutely life changing experience this year. I went for the first time back in August and it had a very profound effect on me. Hope you enjoy it. I would prefer to see them outside, but anywhere would be better than nowhere.

  • @splintercellfan2007 Enjoy it mate, they are quite simply and absolutely the best band in the world...

  • Rush

  • righteous rock!!!!!!........ excellent

  • righteous rock!!!!!!........ excelllent

  • i should be illegal to speak anything bad of rush because it would be a blatant lie

  • Comment removed

  • @fendergibs i personally think that the caravan single is fabulous, and rush have done well to keep up with current sounds and not seem out dated. also at most of their live shows they play the whole of moving pictures plus fan favourites so you defo wont be missing any classics because of the newer stuff

  • @theskill123456 I really cant thing of anything made past 1990 that has had any sig impact on music except to the small narrow rush fans. Carvan may spike the 1st week of release, top 10, but then fall quickly off the charts into oblivion. neil lyrics are redundant lately with all his pseudo intellectual religious rants, understanding his tough life, but ok already, enough of the preaching and just play. hard to blame blender Mag sometimes for ranking him #2 worst song writer of all time.

  • @fendergibs how can rush make an impact on music, they area targeting their pretty small fan base compared to what they used to be.also rushs music has always been on subjects that most people would not usually think about, and if lyrical quality is slipping in your opinion recently, i carnt really blame them- they have being goin for 40 years and thinking of unique, original and good lyrics could be challenging. Neil is a drummer! people wont remember him for lyrics just his amazing drum skills

  • Comment removed

  • @theskill123456 - Yeah man I agree. My friend Ralf thinks Rush sucks and I told him he's a fucking douchebag, with the talent these guys have...How can you say ANYTHING negative about them?

  • @MusicRulesEverything Ok, I've got a friend who respects Rush, but he thinks that Tommy Lee is better than Neil Peart. I think he is one of the biggest idiots ever for that.

  • @riff5fki Hahahahaha I know right

  • @riff5fki Lol if anything Tommy Lee was under Neil Peart's wing..the same beats over and over and the simplest beats at that..that's really talent bahaha. Neil is not only a drummer, but a percussionist too--something that Tommy Lee is not. You sir are right about your friend. :D

  • @riff5fki Tommy Lee sucks at playing drums. Neil is a master. 59 years old and still fuckin hits every drum beat.

  • on vh1s top artist they were i think 73... which is a bunch of bull they are top 10 easy

  • so refreshing to know that rush is still making amazingly flawless music!!! long live RUSH!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • this is fucking awesome. long live rush

  • For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

  • ohmigawd...this may be the hardest rocking tune from Rush in quite a while :)

  • sono

  • heard this two days ago live in concert!!! AWESOME!!!

  • This song sounded so great live! I just about fell over when I heard it. Can't wait for the album!

  • nyuck nyuck nyuckleheads

    /watch?v=UowX4L6iU_w&feature=related

  • I was there at the beginning I'll be there at the end.

  • @mikevillageidiot me too!!

  • @mikevillageidiot Likewise, but I don't know if I'll be there at the end. I am not into their new sound, since Vapor Trails. Still love 'em though. They gotta hella catalog!!!

  • Just incredible, they havent lost it...

  • 2 idiots 1 video

  • @Tonicoh17 snortlaughs dat one

funny as a crutch rich so tom bosley died eh

    all is for the best

    believe me marion the librarion

  • Big fan of all the old stuff but really liked hearing this in concert at The Woodlands,Tx.

  • I would like to have this photo as a screen saver. I hope their marketing people sell it as a poster or screensaver.

It has been a while since I touched base with these guys...I am happy to say that I am quite glad I have. I like their new stuff ...different and yet obviously them. I imagine I would recognize the new songs as theirs even if no one told me it was them...but is that the truth? Would you know their music anywhere? Some would, others might not...

  • niel can fly

  • It's fair to say, that I am so excited about this album, I just poo'd a little.

  • Rush has still got it after all these years.

  • Their music is solid as always.I Bought Moving Pictures when I was ten and look forward to rediscovering some of thier older stuff now that I've matured enough to know what the hell they're singing about.

  • Getting to see them in 2 days

  • Holy poop this is metal.

  • brilliant, this is what i have been waiting for from them, good heavy album

  • if you haven't done so already, you might want to check out Vapor Trails ( released in 2002 ). It's a very heavy album just like this song

  • Back in '73 it was extremely difficult for Rush to become famous simply because they were Canadian, but they didn't give up. I believe Rush inspiration is the reason Canada has produced some of musics best and brightest to this date, thriving from recording studios in world class cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Thanks to Rush, it is no longer necessary for an artist to go to the United States or England to become famous.

  • Hmm I love that rush has been around for this long. I have been a fan since they came out with there very first album and that was back in 1973. I was in the eight grade at that time. Moving Pictures was the very first tour I had a chance to see rush live I have been hooked ever since seing them in concert. I have missed one tour and tahat was power windows and I was stationed in Panama. AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRROOOOHHHHH HELL YEA!!! Have a great day folks!
