There is actually a version of this song with solid drumming and lyrics pefomed by the band Desperate Measures in Manhattan in the mid 90's. (Golden, McSurely, D'Agostino)
actually this song is from the album Bridge Between by the Robert Fripp String Quintet released in 1994. i added the drums just as an experiment or "jam", so it's only available on my channel. hope that helps. peace!
@briel I don't believe I'm incorrect since I have the album in front of me. perhaps it was also released on another album as well. but that's a different story and it doesn't mean i am incorrect...
@LucaXRecords I'm not saying that you're incorrect in saying that it was released on Bridge Between 1994. I'm saying that it was released on Show of Hands in 1991 and that you are incorrect in saying that this is the original version. You made it sound like the song was originally from this album, when in fact it was a redo of the song that was released three years after the original. I'm just saying if you want to hear the original version, Show of Hands is where you would find it.
@LucaXRecords I now have both albums...It's on both of them. But who cares...it's an awesome piece of music, as long as you have at least one version it's all good! :)
Some brilliant moments there and thanks for respecting the original. There are times when the drumming overpowers some of the subtle parts of the guitar work but I don't know how that could be avoided without a taking a lot time playing with the mixing.
a fair accompaniment to a difficult piece. the question is whether it added to the piece. much of Fripp's guitar work is simply a layer of instrumentation from being a King Crimson piece. with your drumming this sounds like the Discipline Trilogy, an instrumental never added, perhaps. however, i love Fripp's work, and i appreciate your work on this.
@w3bt3k my apologies to messrs Golden and Fripp and anyone who was perhaps misled by my comments. i tnank you for the clarification/correction. but i still stand by my commentary on lucax playing, and the layering of fripp into crimso. the new "not king crimson" Scarcity of Miracles" case in point...

Very tasteful drumming to a great song. To those who question, it does appear on both RFSQ and Show of Hands.

Another good source for this track is Intergalactic Boogie Express by Robert Fripp and the League of Crafty Guitarists. Buy it. Don't steal it.
