I understand the need to cut taxes for the people employed so they can keep more money, but what about the people who have been laid off or cannot work? You said that cutting taxes will save jobs, but I believe these businesses would use the saved money to keep their business running, not hire more people. If I am wrong, please clarify.
aflunky, cutting taxes means "pay roll taxes." Pay roll tax is the money the government is taking out of your paycheck every pay period such as FICA, etc.
If you have more money each pay period, you'll spend the money buying goods. Which employs the person who makes the goods to feed their familes.
Nobody needs a few bucks. They need working banks for investments/loans with reasonable rates. 10% of 1600 dollars are still only 150 dollars, cut in half 80 dollars. I really think this jumpstarts the economy... I rather think that getting people employed by government incented Projects puts 20000 self earned Bucks into their books and a better and more positive outlook for the future. aflunky, cutting taxes means "pay roll taxes." Pay roll tax is the money the government is taking out of your paycheck every pay period such as FICA, etc.
If you have more money each pay period, you'll spend the money buying goods. Which employs the person who makes the goods to feed their familes.

Nobody needs a few bucks. They need working banks for investments/loans with reasonable rates. 10% of 1600 dollars are still only 150 dollars, cut in half 80 dollars. Block the Porkulus bill full of giveaways to liberal special interest groups. The only way to stimulate the economy is by streamlining the tax code and making it easier to conduct business. Bring down the deficit by cutting wasteful spending programs. Not handing out welfare checks disguised as a "tax rebate" and giving 4m to a corrupt group like ACORN.
