  • interesting but you probably can't wear it in bed anymore

  • Looks good...at least in a form follows function kind of way. I am looking at removing the headphones to use my own Tritton 5.1 or to get the sony ps3 wireless 7.1. I can't believe they forgot about game chat for multiplayer along with great sound. Time for a new project. Nothing like experimenting with an $800 device.

  • Nice video. I returned my HMZ, it was just too uncomfortable. For $800 I am not going to mess with it. Also, my 3d projector is better I think just because I position myself close or far from the screen and see 3d fine. You have one position with an HMD, and thats not too close, so I was not as immersed as with the PJ i have. Its a good start. Amazing that the display works fine, its just an ergonomic fail.

  • Nice job!

I have a full review up on this SONY HMZ-T1 3D viewer if you would like to take a look, I would appreciate it a lot. :))

  • That's very smart! BTW, did I hear you say right that it tracks your head when playing games on the PC?

  • @Newbloom55407 I'm using an extra gadget called trackIR for the head tracking. if you search trackir on here there are many vids.. I even have one showing 3 different games i did a few years ago. It works in most games. But skyrim you can only use mouse emulation mode.

  • @eastyamg How amazing does the TrackIR feel with this thing? I've got a TrackIR as well, and I've been wanting to buy a HMD since I saw the lawnmower man 20 years ago, or however long it is.. Do flight sims and racing sims feel as awesome as one would expect with the hmz-t1 TrackIR combo? Rumors have it that they are making a gamer version of this with some tracking built in. Dunno if I'm going to wait for it or not...

  • @eastyamg Also you mentioned cutting off the earphones. Is that actually doable without messing up some electronics? Do the headphones connect to a jack completely separate from the video cable on this thing?

  • good job mate, much less light creeping in, which is a nice bonus too! hopefully you could upload 1.0 when it's done! :p
