I would correct you on Lincoln, he did not want the slaves free until he realized that he would lose the election. By the way, Lincoln tried to make slavery permanent so that he could stop the South from seceding. JFK was the only one who provided actual civil rights legislation that was signed by Republicans and signed by LBJ. Most people do not realize that Lincoln was no friend to the slaves. Also Lincoln was the first American President to sacrifice our Civil Rights in the name of National Security. He revoked the freedom of the press during the Civil War.

Jack Kennedy was a great President. He did wonderful work to start integrating blacks into mainstream society. Republicans voted into law what JFK started.
