@xplay101 Just to clarify Ovechkin lost to the team Crosby played on in World Juniors, Olympics and Playoffs. So your theory on scoring goals to win games is a little lacking. You need to win faceoffs in your own zone and offensive zone, get the puck deep, control the puck (posession) and about 100 other little things to win a game, especially big games. Crosby is the complete hockey player, only lacks personality, physical presence. Ovechkin is a true goal scorer, and a great one at that.

SO in order to become a TRUE goal scorer and not just have ONE good season you have to be able to score from EVERYWHERE which, OV has established, hint the reason why he has had 4 out of 6 NHL season with 50+ goals and a 65 goal season. Crosby will NEVER touch OV when it comes to goal scoring, and in order to win you have to be able to score.
