  • great music but they could have made a better video

  • 7 people must be deaf and dislike the music video. No reason for disliking this. That's the only possibility.

  • why doesnt this song have like 7 times as many views...

  • how can a band "sound mainstream"? every album is a work of art they have put effort into creating in order to one day have their talents and hard work be recognized by the world. so god forbid a talented band actually hit the mainstream and maybe top a chart over justin bieber. it sounds pretty good to me.

  • @jessica1234198 Well, i think that things can sound "mainstream" because music that's being played in mainstream circulation for the most part has a common sound. With that said though, i agree, i love this band and i love the music they've created so frankly, if they were to make it into the ears of the general public (those who listen primarily to top and 40 and etc.), i'd be proud, people need to hear good music like this

  • I love this song, but jesus some of you people are fucking hipsterific

  • this is one of my favorite songs ever.

  • i met these guys at a festival. they signed by keds. they are frickin awesome and wes is even hotter in real life!

  • The girl playing the cello was one of my classmates in college...should've paid more attention to her. ::slaps forehead::

  • I don't have any of these guy's albums, but I've listened to them, their first one is exactly what I love of a band, but their second is what I hate that happens to bands. It just doesn't, like, sound the same. I get goosebumps when I listen to the first one, I love like every song. But the second bores me. It just doesn't have that "thing" the first one had. I'm sorry.

  • I love this song! *-*

  • Love this band! The side bar link to an Albany NY show is actually a Ballston Spa NY show on June 23. The two towns are close but not that close.

  • :D

  • pnesi

  • In my opinion this just might be the best song ever recorded.

  • I love this, they have so many great instruments in here!

  • This song is great. For a "under" band to produce something like this is pretty cool. Love all of them and hope they make their way to the top because, they have the material for it,

  • For anyone who didnt understand this video, all of the strings connected to the rhumb line. Basically, the point where all lines intersect; its used in sailing and flight.. Cool huh, thats the name of this album too.

  • cant stop playing this song!! love it!

  • passion pit remix is OSSUM

  • bluesfest 2011 ottawa!!!!!!!

  • I love ads over 1 minute because you can skip them XD

  • so good.

  • i saw them live last night in holland and this song was incredible! like shit my pants incredible!

  • @jman5936 OMG I just fell out of my seat laughing at this comment......

  • god dam the lyrics are so sad

  • I'm learning so much geography when I watch this...

  • im seeing them live on my birthday!

  • love this band. amazing live.

    they make me feel flurry

  • @Obeymetrick thats a cello. i play upright bass , and cello . thats a cello

  • @Obeymetrick cello?

  • This song gives me shivers every time I hear it.

  • Why does it sound so different from the album version? XD

ANYWAY I love this song. And I kind of am head over heels over this band. Plus I think Wes is hot.

  • @enahhhhh How did you hear it, now, I mean. Try hearing it using head phones and then loud speakers. It sounds so AWESOME, both ways but differently somehow. And when he's singing "On every, on every inch of stone." His voice sounds awesome, (in loudspeakers) and the rest of the band sounds so amazing, when using headphones.

  • I just love how they dance to each other when they perform. :o)

  • Loveeely <3 I Love this Band.

  • Album version of this song makes this one sounds like garbage. It's like all the sound and emotion has been sucked out.

  • spettacolo!!

  • I've known about this band for a while, but I've never taken the time to listen to them. This band is now my favorite, and this song is simply amazing. For me they have surpassed arcade fire!

  • The Passion Pit Remix is soooo good

  • Where in the world is Carmen San Diego!

  • eargasm.

  • Ra Ra Riot is probably the best band I've listened to of the decade.

  • einfach gradios. super musik!

  • Rhumb Line is one of the best albums ever made.

  • I saw them live with circa survive, minus the bear, as tall as lions and some other people. amazing<3333333333333

  • The beginning is genius. Moving the cello and bass lower in the register. I wish this was more common in their songs!

  • ONLY 100k views? That doesn't seem right, this video should have like 10 million views, because this band is awesome. They have a violinist and cellist, how many other bands try that?

  • this video makes me wanna go sailing

  • what a groovy flippin band to get all those different instruments and create audio pleasure

  • yah this band is kick ass...

  • I LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They need to come to South Florida. We're in desperate need of good music here.

  • @potterheadxp Tell me about it

  • electric cello/violin! awesome....

  • i dont mind if good bands get big i mean as long as they stay "good" most of them start to be come well known then they write crap music to please the majority of ears that generally listen to crap music

  • To me Wes Miles always comes across as a camera hog in the music vids...

  • Dude looks kind of like Syndey from "I Love You, Man". Like it though.

  • passion pit remix is better.

  • Ah, they had to play at the exact same time as Rise Against today at Seattle's Bumbershoot 2010. My musics all over the place, but I still would have loved to see them play. Sometime perhaps.

  • its rare to find an outstanding band with girls who play violins and cellos...

most bands these days are annoying wanna be indie groups that have terrible voices and dont know how to write good music. Ra Ra Riot is THE example of a talented and unique band. plus the boys are so hot. watching them perform makes me blush. nuff said.

  • Comment removed

  • A beautiful tribute to their drummer and friend. Especially because the drum beat seems to haunt the entire track.

  • "ohh, ohh, ohhhhhh, woaking wet dreams"

  • Rebecca Zeller is gorgeous. Great song too.

  • i love this song. i'd love to know the lyrics but when i searched for this tune different sites have some really divergent interpretations of what the lyrics are ......either way this song is MAGIC

  • ha, i remember when i couldn't even find Ra Ra Riot on Youtube... Im so proud of them :')

  • passion pit remix is better

  • There is no possible way for 'good indie' bands to stay small. If people like them they're going to go far because people will demand more of them and they'll have to fill the void. common knowledge.

  • @Carrots1919 There are plenty of fantastic indie bands that just don't, and never will, have a mass appeal.

  • @Carrots1919 I agree. It's funny, cause like, when I was younger (around 11), my dad listened to a lot of indie bands at the time, but when I came to the age where I liked music (I'm 14 now), those same bands he listened to, their next albums were all big, they were like advertised on the front page of iTunes and everything, yet the thing is, those albums couldn't compare to their older ones. They're still great, but SOME bands, when they go mainstream, sometimes they start to sound mainstream.

  • @SuperSmashbro125 I have the exact same story. Except my dad has always listened to indie groups. so I have always liked the albums before they went mainstream. (I'm 13 now).

  • @SuperSmashbro125 matt and kim perfect example there new album i think other than sivler tiles which is a rerecord of a demo song other than that the album is unlistenable its so mainstream and dirt i cant listen to it

  • i love the hardcore string chicks.

this song rocks my socks <3

  • Arly?

  • This song is seriouely addicting. The first time I heard it I was half asleep and it made me cry. :] Love this band.

  • best of luck. i really enjoy what i hear.

  • think i prefered the version on the EP

  • @whales Why is that? :)

  • @whales me too.

  • This is my shit!

  • garbage. i like the music, a bit, but the video needs to be....TOTALLY RE DUN!!

  • This song reminds me of Autumn. I bought the album last August, and ended up going to their show in my hometown on a whim in September, because I was listening to it on my way to work one morning, and it looked, felt, and smelled like fall, and this song just topped it off. Plus, Autumn is my favorite season, so it made me feel so amazing. I didn't have the money to spend on a show, but this song and the perfect atmosphere convinced me. I regret nothing. PERFECT show. <3

  • Absolutely genius video.

  • Girl with the cello is my hero. n_n

  • I honestly think that Ra Ra Riot are the only ones capable of covering Coldplay awesomely.

  • i like the passion pit remix more have you not listened to it i recommend it

  • this song sounds drastically different on my ipod

  • This song kicks BOOTAYYY. ♥

  • wierd looking cello... :)

  • @DaughterOfApollo

    Electric cello. ;D

  • This teack is so bit, all the one ups should just move on to some other indie band if they think these guys sold out, they just made the transition all musicians make at a certain point, dont be so gen ppshh.

  • love love!

  • Is this what it's like to fall in love?

  • always start off my day with one of their songs :D

  • whats the song is the one that played at the beginning?

  • @chanely333 it was in the ads

  • I first learned of Ra Ra Riot when they opened up with Cold War Kids for Death Cab for Cutie. Everyone seemed to go crazy for Cold War Kids, but I liked these guys a lot more.

  • cant wait to see you guys at coachella!

  • Love them. They were great in concert.

  • WOOOOO Me gusta mucho mucho XD

  • i like it

  • BETTER THAN SEX! =D

  • @xX6jdub9XxaaaA LOLLL funniest comment to see when your dead tired

  • @xX6jdub9XxaaaA who says " this band is the tits" ? just sounds like a dumb expression to me.

  • @jburns777 sounds pretty badass to me

  • RIP JOHN PIKE

  • he died O.O

    DX

  • whos john pike?

  • the drummer

  • I love the build up, incredible! *tear*

  • brilliant tune, brilliant band, i completely love them!!!!!!!

but sorry this video is really not good! look at the syncing of the violin and cello.. and drums!!!!

  • I hope they make it!

    <3 em

  • im sick of people like you getting mad when good bands get big. if you really like the band youd want them to get big so more people know their beautifl music and so they can make some dough for how hard they work. dont be a hipster. and ra ra riot your just too good

  • couldn't agree more!! Hate people that try to look cool and hip cuz they like "underground" music! you really like a band because of its music so don't tell me you don't want to see them in a concert hall. Just imagine if these ones turn big, this song is awesome as it is, add a whole orchestra to the two girls and i swear I'll cry when I listen to THAT song. now you bitches stop posing as hipsters and go listen to some U2 and whover else that has 2million followers that you still like anyway

  • It most cases this is a good thing, but sometimes when bands become more famous their music becomes terrible. I hope indie bands the best, but they can't just abandon quality.

  • @StrangeFilms

    couldn't agree with you more!

  • @StrangeFilms Agreed dude *a round of applause to you.*

  • @StrangeFilms i agree they need to make their money, but when all the dumb little girls start listening to them their demographic changes and so does their music. It just sucks when they get famous.

  • @watchthispk Not always. It really depends on the band. OK Go has always been pretty well known, what with their music being on commercials, in movies and movie trailers, and despite their fan base expanding to include said fan girls, their music has gotten better, and they're still the same guys. Not every musician is in it for the fame and glory. Some stay true to who they are.

  • @StrangeFilms I agree as long as the music continues to grow. That said, what some fans might find disappointing and ultimately shy them away is that now they have to pay an exceptional amount more money to see them in a much larger venue.

  • @StrangeFilms i dont think iv ever agreed with anything more in my life, iv had to post comments like this so many times, it gets so fucking annoying

  • @superdude1452 bands get big simply because they are good. lol if people can't deal with other's thinking their music is good.. then they are just lame hipsters trying to find random obscure music to be "cool"

  • @StrangeFilms this band is not big.

  • @StrangeFilms I'm all for good bands getting big, as long as they aren't changing themselves and their music to try to get big. Like Radiohead...they're huge, but they have never compromised themselves and quality. But Death Cab for Cutie is another story. Ben Gibbard himself said he wants to stay big and that he has changed the way he writes lyrics and creates melodies. So my fear of when a band is getting big is if they will change (too much). Ra Ra Riot has not in my opinion, so yay!

  • @StrangeFilms AGREEEEEEED!!!

  • .....before they get big....

  • cuz you're totally hoping they will, right? ;)

  • You know, when I first heard this song pandora radio I looked around on youtube to find lyrics and such. Never found anything.

Now when I look again I find it and see it's a new version! What a nice surprise. :3

  • Ghost Under Rocks (Passion Pit Remix)

  • no this is more than brilliant!!!! i am in love with ra ra riot!!!

  • brilliant! :-D

  • They are so full of life in this. love it

  • I love this song. btw, Milo Binnocci is SOO cute in this movie

  • simpy amazing.

  • pure awsomeness!

  • I love how this song reflects the terrible year they had when they were making this, masterpiece

    5/5

  • What terrible year do they have had?

  • the year their drummer died, look it up.

  • "Do they have had?" That makes no sense. Work on your grammar. :P

  • These guys do have some real talent. I really enjoyed watching them live. Despite they weren't that well known back then, they sure made Cold War Kids look like amateurs.

  • absolutely love this song, especially the beginning ^_^ can't remember if they played this when i saw them with Death Cab... im sure they did xD

  • I love how it sounds!! It's like rockish but also has a creepy kind of tone to it. I absolutely love love love this!

  • Man this has been my favorite song for a long time. Its just soo epic.

  • it's my favorite song too!

it' so eerie yet so heartfelt

  • totally beautiful

  • i just saw them in columbus.

    soooo awesome!!!!

alexendra and i were talking and she said "we're not that big."

i had to disagree. the people that know ra ra riot love them.

i think that makes them big.

  • just awesome

  • WOW tis is good stuff

  • good in concert too, I got to see them open up for The Killers!

  • i went to that show too! awesome

  • Fantastic song, awesome video.

Love the incorporation of strings in RRR's music.

  • why why why hadn't i heard this song already? Love it!

  • woahh! =D

  • Amamazing!

  • This is awesomely creative. I like it :)
