I graduated from the same high school Robert Smith attended (Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona) many years after the murders. I used to get my hair cut at the beauty school where he shot his victims. Sure did give me the creeps going in there after I learned about the murders!

Yes, the baby survived because she was shielded by her mother's body! It was a 3 months old baby girl and her name was Tamara Sellers. Her mom and older sister didn't survive. I just found that through a web search, I'd never heard of this case before either.

No, she is quite fine and doing well. She has a scar on her arm from a bullet that grazed her. She wasn't the only survivor however, another girl was shot multiple times in the head but pretended to be dead and survived. Another had slipped out a back door to get help before she was noticed.
