So far, just about everything this guy does impresses or moves me on some level. Just realized that acoustic versions like this are like an artist's preliminary sketches for a large canvas. They may be rough or unfinished but usually have more life and spontaneity than the larger fully produced work.

because unfortunately, his fan base is rather small. but, i agree, he is very talented. he's my favorite second to none.

@ebirdyca His day in the sun is upon him. He's a member of the new supergroup "Fistful of Mercy." He wrote NINE songs in THREE days which were recorded (3 songs a day) in 3 days. The band memebers are JA, Dhani Harrison (George's son), and Ben Harper. The CD, entitled "As I Call You Down" is awesome!

@athenawp he wrote all of them??? it's a decent album gotta say... but i can tell there were 3 songs in which he paid more attention (father's son, 60 bones, and things go round) the rest is kinda samey filler stuff in my opinion.... plus ben harper's outta tune voice really doesn't help lol

@hed2myshoos13 Yeah, those WERE great! Probably the ones they focused the most on out of their three per day. I hear ya on the Ben Harper vocals. He was probably not used to that kind of speed in production, as they said in interviews that it was Joseph Arthur who pushed to get these songs out in the allotted time and kept them going when they weren't always feeling it. JA is simply amazing to me.
