I read that the little kids were still living in slums and they still didn't make money, that they wer promised a new house, an money. SOme of the kids skipped school because they cannot afford it.

to rriturajg: I am from Pakistan and i am just as proud of the wins for the movie as you are but Random is right aswell..india does put on a flashy show on rest of the world as if there are no problems in the country...india has the biggest under paid population some billion people majority of whom are living below poverty line..child labor is the biggest issue facing the nation and yet nobody seems concerned about it

START BUILDING MORE SCHOLS AND SHELTERS FOR THESE POOR PEOPLE AND GIVE THEM MORE BETTER LIVING CONDITIONS just a thoughtt

india cant always show the good flashy and the obvious it needs to help its own people...but anyhoo congrats slumdog millionare and to the cast and crew
