this video reminded me of how dumb I've been in the past. I was caught paddling solo in conditions worst than this up the sunshine coast in B.C. a few months back. If I'd bailed out I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to get back in. Step cliffs around a headwater meant that I probably couldn't have made it onto shore. Hopefully next time I'll be smart enough to camp out until it flattens out.

Don't know why so many people are hitting the dislike button. This is one of the few non staged, videos out there of an assisted sea kayak rescue under real life conditions...anyone can do it in a swimming pool.

Try to figure that out by youre self. It is very hard. I dont do videos, fear that some one will get them selfs killed.

Very Impressive, ye could do with a paddle leash lads, less risk of losing paddle while rescue.

both parties had paddle leashes. One leash got fairly tangled during the rescue.

@guillemot12 Yes, I have had that experience also--even getting tangled in the leash myself during reentry. I like to put a spare paddle under my stern bungees, just in case... Great video, very helpful! This is just a wonderful place to paddle, too!!!!!!
