Gregory Hines could've reached in and unlocked the chain on the door himself. If he's her lover, he's surely welcome there and wouldn't have been intruding. I like the way they have it where she won't let him in, though. :)

I think this movie was really boring .. Maybe if the ending would have been intresting....
