I totally agree. Which is why I dislike paying taxes. Because the Federal Govt. is just going to waste it on things we don't need. I'd rather pay my money and put it towards things we do need, like repairing old schools, or building new roads. Why our govt insists on wasting our money is beyond my comprehension.
"The more money the government has, the more money the government will waste."
Apparently the concept of a ratio is something that eludes you. It's amusing that you think you are more economically savvy than probably the most accomplished investor of all time. Clearly,
Brush up on the 4th grade math, and while you're at it, look up hubris (I doubt you'll find it on Conservapedia).
Considering the fact those money mongers raise very little taxes to rich people, it's inconceivable to point out they're targeting regular people who are dealing with countless taxes. And all the sudden they make a big bitch about why they've been taxed even more because the government proposed a contradiction in term on a revenue that doesn't shine any light to people.
This is quite a baseless thought about attempting to cease taxes. If any governement legislations try to pass through a consensus about stopping taxes from corporations and investment organizations, then the government would ultimately backstab everyone in the process so another tax revenue would be seeping through.

Don't give money to the government becuase they will waste it? At least the money is getting used instead of these large corporations that just sit on MOUNTAINS of cash that NEVER gets used!
the government can fix shit and our education budget. the rich just sit on fucking MOUNDS of cash and NEVER EVER spend it! while looking for ways to make MORE money without spending money!
Reaganomics and outsourcing ring a fucking bell, or the 4% that have 90% of the money in the US?
@metaleater9 Unless these big piles of money are stored under some rather large beds, in the bedrooms of the CEOs, the cash is actually OUT THERE in the economy in the form of investments and bank loans.
Learn about economics before you spew about economics.
@eagleeye1975 But becuase the money is in the form of investments they don't get taxed very high at all on it, even when it might be a massive amount of money when they realize it. they can get most of their expensive jets and yachts put down as business expense.
They have so many ways of bypassing taxes, what they are being taxed on is nothing.
"Fixing" those "loop holes" would change a lot to the tax system, so its just better to just increase the taxes on what they do pay.
@metaleater9 But that money has already been taxed when it was income in the first place... prior to it being put in to investments. So you want to tax investment income more? Make up your mind, do you want to ENCOURAGE that money to be circulated, or do you want to DISCOURAGE it? Taxing discourages any activity...
Learn about economics before you spew about economics.
@eagleeye1975 investment tax and income tax are 2 different things.
so when a rich guy invests relatively little money and then down the road realizes it and gains a huge profit that is taxed VERY little for how much they gain.
that's how the rich are bypassing the income tax, the government doesn't classify it as income.
take the money you just got from the newly taxed rich and make them into food stamps, bam, now people with low income can start saving and spending money.
1) You bitched about the rich hoarding tons of money... You want that money IN the economy.
2) I pointed out how investments and money in banks is actually, in fact, out there in the economy.
3) You bitched about that investment income not being taxed enough... without realizing that such a tax would remove incentives to invest, undermining #1 above.
@eagleeye1975 in what part of the economy is it? and is it really helping it or just stalling the inevitable if we keep going with it?
investments don't power the economy or business, unless that's how the rich have set it up now.
it wouldn't remove incentives to invest as we are not asking it to be taxed to hell and make it impossible for them to make money from investing. people just want it taxed more as its unfair that they can make so much money with such little tax.
Raising taxes on the rich is a good idea, we would have to to assist us in getting out of a deficit we are in, forget about the government, focus on the budget, think of it as a scale, simply have more one on one side than money going out on the other, if this can be done then thats great, and raising taxes on the rich would assist on this.
@jmjfanss So your telling me that balanceing the budgeting itself wont actually solve anything. Stopping wasteful spending gos along way child, if it was that easy then it would be done, but its people like you who whine and whine about stopping the spending, which means cutting into Medicare, Medicade, Military/Defense and Social Security among other things, and tell me are you ok with that, i know i am but it seems the majority of people arnt. We must do all that plus raise taxes on the rich.
fuck the "Middle Class" . the middle class is the very reason we are in the shit house. arrogant bastards. we need only RICH & POOR. its the greatest balance. America will eat itself up. CHiNA "OWNS" the USA. thats the funny part.
Supermassive...don't argue with someone like that! It just feeds more stupidity! Bob is expressing his views! And this idiot is most likely a person who thinks freedom of speech means you can condemn someone because u don't agree! He's a biased prick who jerks off to Obama talking about bailouts
its not wasted. it goes towards really awesome wars for freedom, chicken nuggets for welfare queens, healthcare for illegal aliens, Oh did I mention slaughtering those bad bad muslims?
@glazierEd Oh, I see. So the strategy when you have nothing intelligent or relevant to say, is to hurl personal attacks at the person you disagree with. Now I get it.
You weren't attacking his statements. You were insulting his physical appearance and making false claims that he uses drugs. The mention of his statements was an afterthought to "support" your insults. Grow the fuck up and learn how to debate like an adult.
@Supermassively Firstly, If I was to debate Bob, I would debate him on his level, and thats what I was doing. Bob is a complete Neanderthal in as much as you are a butinski. I am still curious why he plucks his eye brows. Does he do some cross dressing vaudeville act on Broadway?
@glazierEd I'd like to see your evidence that he plucks his eyebrows. And then I'd like for you to explain why the fuck that's even relevant to a political discussion. As far as I've seen in the last few days, all you do is come to every one of his videos and spam your irrelevant, childish, personal-attack-filled bullshit.
He's getting justifiably angry about what's happening in this country, and all you can do is belittle him because of his appearance? Go fuck yourself. You're worthless.
MortimerTheClueless says, "Government does not waste money"
Is this why we are 14 trillion dollars in debt and have over 113 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities? Is this why welfare spending per recipient was clocked at over $400,000 per year? Something tells me that every person that recieves welfare did not recieve $400,000 each year. Hmmm......
Income inequality is higher now than at any time in U.S. history. This has always been a problem, but Ronal Reagan and the conservatives have made this problem HUGE. The U.S. is now a country of haves and have-nots.
The public sector helps to bridge this inequality. Government does not waste money; corporations do. Government is not run for profit; it is run for the public good. Cutting government spending = giving money to the super rich.
@AroundSun - The government budget represents the will of the people. It is society speaking as one voice. The public sector provides desperately needed goods and services to all people, regardless of ability to pay.
Corporations are just out for profit and pure greed. Corporations do not represent anyone's will other other than the CEO.
That's exactly right- and of course cutting government spending means cutting government jobs in the long run- and of course tax cuts would fall into the increased spending category. lol
@GrassValleyGreg Yes, cut the wasteful bureaucracies and waste of tax dollars. All government knows how to do is waste money. They are put in office by large corporations and return the favors. Most government jobs are wasteful and do not produce anything!! What does the department of energy do? Produce energy? NOPE.....Tax cuts will put money where it belongs. In the hands of the people, to invest and produce. Ultimately creating PRODUCTIVE not wasteful JOBS.
But the tax cuts are going TO the large corporations and the people who run them.... The Reaganomics theory has been in place for 30 years, and all that's happened is the wealth gap has grown and the middle class has shrunk, and we of course know the consequences with the deficit. It's a good idea in theory- but in practice, not so much. Too many assumptions.
@GrassValleyGreg wealth gap is because of the federal reserve system and because of cushy relationships between corporations and big government (corporatism). it is the favors and regulations that create this, not the tax structure. you seem to not know much about tax rates versus tax revenues, the law of unintended consequences, or category spending - so I am just going to stop right here.
I know gambling when I see it. And that's all this is. And as for who set up these cushy relationships with corporations (of which the tax breaks/loopholes are an ENORMOUS part)... Well I don't think it was those nasty communistic, anti-capitalist Democrats....
@GrassValleyGreg haha..yes because democrats are only interested in YOUR welfare!! they take no money from businesses and are all grass root campaigns!! none of them are rich!!
pleaseeeee, all politicians are the same. there is one party, the big government party!!
democrat republican, doesnt matter. they are mostly interested in helping the ones who put them in office or businesses they have ties with. at YOUR expense
you must be stupid, because the national academy of science has physics on their side... are you really that dumb?
and taxes? i know your stance on taxes. lower them until the govt collapses and then blame the collapse on govt itself. you r a caveman who somehow thing the national academy of science doesnt have physics on their side. child
@AntiVenomFangX No, you have the ICCP which has been proven to be a bunch of frauds, thats why they are constantly quitting LOL....Articel 1 Section 8 defines what congress may tax for and spend on...
@AntiVenomFangX Yes, the fed is unconstitutional, whats your fucking point??? LMAO. That has nothing to do with article 1 section 8 dummy. If you had any brains you may have pointed out my typo of ICCP. Which is really the IPCC. You don't know anything beyond little Al Gore's documentary. What a fucking loser you are.
1my fucking point is that the constitution is outdated and you treat it like holy scripture
2you dont know science nor do you know economics, you know how to treat the constitution like a religion you fucking dolt.
3you dont know more than the national academy of science, you are the black knight in monty python and the holy grail. you fail and you are still confident. i would be so embarrassed.
@AntiVenomFangX Constitution is the cornerstone of law in this country and establishes our form of government. There is no such thing as "outdated". If you have a problem with it, there is an amendment process if you want "change". Call your congressmen. Global warming is the biggest fraud since religion. You couldn't win an argument if your life depended on it. It's very obvious you know the basic fundamentals of economics, finance, or accounting. You hate our country, die of aids
how hard is it for you to understand C02? what part about C02 do you say the national academy of science is either completely ignorant to or scheming us on?
"It's very obvious you know the basic fundamentals of economics, finance, or accounting. " -you, nice! and trust me you dont know your fucking history, boy. get tis straight:
- i have the NAS on my side when it comes to the existence of C02
- i have history on my side, before keyensian recessions were wrose and more frequent
Also, when you continually raise taxes on the rich, more and more of them move to different countries. Then, we end up getting less money from taxes than if we didn't raise taxes at all. Raising taxes on the rich actually promotes outsourcing.
That's because they're greedy and unpatriotic. And yet, for some reason, we keep worshiping these people and forking them money hand over fist with all of these loopholes- all on the gamble that they'll kick a little back through the marketplace. And yet all that's happened in the last 30 years is the middle class has shrunk and the rich have gotten richer. We gave them more money, and they sat on it. The only big job booms came during Reagan and Clinton who BOTH raised taxes.
Obama made a big point of raising taxes on the rich, but it's a stupid diversion because the numbers don't add up. Go look up the estimates. If Obama got what he wanted, the new taxes would be expected to bring in $30 to $50 billion...only a couple percent of the $1 to $2 trillion shortfall. The problem isn't the rich, it's that everyone in Washington is a spend-a-holic. God doesn't have enough money to pay for Washington's goodies. Those lunatics belong in rehab! Stop spending!!
I agrre that you should not raise taxes on anyone. When you raise taxes on the rich they just pass the cost on to the consumer, so you are just giving the government more of your money. Spending is the problem, but before we cut programs for the poor in the USA we should cut programs for the rich overseas. Please vote for Ron Paul, the only candidate that sees the problem and has a real soultion. Dont be fooled again.
I love how brain dead liberals try to interpret the constitution the way they see fit. ANYTHING to subsidize their asses and try to win votes by giving one group benefits over another group.
@EyesDownfield the current trend is going to continue unless people send a message. The white house protests in October should be interesting, but are likely going to simply be a talking point on fox news more than anything else. A movement needs to form to abolish the partisan system, replacing it with a system where candidates get elected on their principles, not on the name of their party. Democrat is not really so different from Republican.
@EyesDownfield that being said, The financial crisis is only one small thing that will pass, but it has shed light on a very real threat in the US. Partisanship. Both parties are so caught up in blaming the other, that they arent actually discussing solutions. Ron Paul says he has solutions, but his ideas are pie in the sky notions that sound great in a campaign, but arent tangible. The core is that the parties need to go. Nothing gets done as parties are too busy trying to one up each other.
James Madison, father of the constitution states "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on the objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents." Why have enumerated powers if the government can just run our country like a command economy? fucking idiot
Eh i strongly disagree with this one lately government has wasted money but for 150+ years we did great work with the money we had we need to return to that increasing or lowering taxes is a separate issue in my opinion.
Just antoher braindead comment from the left. TheNavigateur says, "The government wouldn't waste money if there was a constitutional amendment saying they couldn't waste money"
Well genius, they wouldn't call it waste now would they? They would specify every dollar they spent. Waste is subjective. What I think is waste may be gold to you. So obviously any spending can be written off as "necessary" as long as the politicians say so. God you are an ignorant fool.
this one was a little out of character Bob... you were somewhere different, you weren't yelling at your usual level, and your "what's next x 3" at the end was not "convincing" i feel like you just did it at a friend's house and were put on the spot to do it... :-) still love ya!
@metaleater9 MOST of the poor people today didnt GIVE A FUCK ABOUT AN EDUCATION.....they didnt take school serously....now there poor and are being paid with fuckin food stamps..Go get a fuckin job!!....While Most of the Rich People BECAME RICH BY GETTING A GOOD EDUCATION LEADING INTO A GOOD JOB.....nd there be taxing like crazy.....The people who dont give a fuck are rewarded nd the people that worked hard to get rich are being fucked
"Tax the rich" Class warfare nonsense is all this administration has left as a duping point. Now everyone is just "Hoping" for a "Change". Anyone with an IQ north of 80 that is.....

For Years Your Government has been telling You to do More with Less. Isn't it time You demand that Your government do More with less for a real change !?
our government needs to be slashed in half.. it was never intended to be this big.. The founding fathers would've fought another revolution by now.. what needs to happen is cut government spending.. Not higher taxes.. ANd those that "want" to be taxed more.. The IRS takes donations u jackasses! U give ur money away to them.. a better use for it would be to donate that money to charities.. not the Gov.
Yeah, the government's just gonna waste that money on providing health care, a decent retirement, building infrastructure, educating kids. Wasteful shit like that. Let those Goldman Sachs millionaires keep their ill-gotten gains. They're gonna spend it productively; like on a fourth house in France or some Colombian cocaine.
It's worse than that Bob, some people don't give a damn about where the money goes, they just want to punish the rich capitalist pigs and get a sadistic rush from it.
@mydogbanjo Don't waste my time complaining about things you nothing about, attributing motives to people who are too intelligent for you to understand.
@eirefrance I don't believe I was addressing you originally so how is it that I'm wasting your time? I know exactly how you think though, and know you need to feel superior. Your one of those latte drinking socialists that slobbers over Karl Marx's Communist manifesto like a fanatical Muslim over his Koran or a fundamentalist Christian drooling over the creation story in Genesis. You have dedicated your mind to to your holy book and think it somehow makes you intelligent or enlightened. Pathetic
@mydogbanjo I had to read your comment in order to respond to it, which wasted my damn time. Now, I'm wasting my damn time trying to figure out how someone who invents a motive for a non-existent group of people he calls "socialists" he believes are led by some false caricature of Obama has the nerve to call someone else an ideologue.
@eirefrance Here's a thought, don't respond to someones comment unless you want a legitimate discussion because THAT'S the waste of time I'm talking about. I said nothing about Obama. And from the threads I've visited and comments I've come across I'd say that my comment accurately describes what I've found. So, go back to your little coffee shop, order up a double latte extra foamy, sit back and fantasize about how wonderful it would be to live in a socialist country you'll never have to endure
@mydogbanjo Actually, I'd love some legitimate discussion. I'd love to hear, legitimately, who are these people who get a sadistic rush from punishing rich capitalist pigs. I'd love to hear what they have to do with tax policy.
@eirefrance Well finally a coherent reply without the ol straw man card! If I thought you were serious, I'd put some effort into this thread, but I'm not convinced you are genuine. I still think you want to use me as a punching bag to get your political frustrations out on. Funny who you come across out of the blue in cyberspace. We could be colleagues or acquaintances and get along fine, but anonymity dispenses with common courtesies. I'll think about it.
Flat income tax for everyone. We need to make our tax system fair and simple and not just the income tax. The whole federal and state taxation system is an unfair, greedy arrangement that constantly beats us down.
Try telling that to the FBI, CIA, or the Military. Just a couple of samples and great examples that the money is not being wasted. I don't understand whats so hard to understand about that?
@brucebannerization Yes, Joe Bastardi is good and it's because he investigates the weather cycles for what they really and views them in their totality rather than just cherry picking certain time periods and try to fit them into some sort of ridiculous global warming agenda. When you consider that most of the mainstream media has a liberal slant, it just stands to reason that they would also hire weathermen with a liberal slant. That really explains it all.
about 45%of Americans dont pay any income tax because they cheat the system with "tax credits" while the rich people who is around 1% of Americans pay 90% of all income taxes, that means the rest is only paying 10% of the income tax that the government gets, sometimes then rich have to pay taxes twice on the same check! while 45% of America is not paying any taxes!!! whats the deal with that???
Warren Buffett paid about 7 mil in taxes last year- but according to Buffett: "...What I paid was only 17.4 percent of my taxable income — and that’s actually a lower percentage than was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office. Their tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and averaged 36 percent."
The wealth gap has done nothing but get bigger in the last 30 years- The top 20% own 85% of the wealth in the US- the bottom 40% in this country own zero or are in the red.
@GrassValleyGreg "The wealth gap has done nothing but get bigger in the last 30 years- The top 20% own 85% of the wealth in the US- the bottom 40% in this country own zero or are in the red."
@ilovenh1 Really, maybe to a very small extent that is true, but the success or failure of people is ultimately the fault of the person. The fact that the rich are getting richer is due to the good decisions that they are making, many rich people lost their money as well, The poor are getting poorer because of the bad choices made by the poor people. Many poor people have become middle class and rich as well. If people continue to blame others for their failures, they will never succeed.
@intrepidorator Very well said, I agree 100% ! ! I was just trying to describe how the Gov't could, did and will again manipulate Fanny & Freddy, domestic oil drilling, GM, healthcare, illegal immigration, Public Education and so on. The roll of the Gov't is to Maintain an environment (Constitutional Republic) where what you described can work to it's fullest potential. Not be taxed, regulated, threatened, dominated and micromanaged into paralysis unless you kiss the ring of the "Don"
Eh, the gap has been widening for 30+ years, prior to that it had been shrinking for much of the 20th century, due largely because it was even worse than it is now in the late 19th century. The Fed's been around for almost a century and has seen all of it- the ups and the downs. Clearly there is at the very least another problem.
@xzero0100 Actually, its the top 50% who pay around 90% of income taxes. The top 1% pays about 35% of the income tax despite the fact that it represents a far lower % of their total income than those below them (mostly because of those tax credit cheats you mentioned). Nice try, though. For your next easily shot down comment, tell me why Obama is a socialist.
i will do my own research starting with those reliable scientific articles explaining how volcanic output produces more C02 than humans
and ill give it to you, we can tell about long term climate change on planets, again smething that doesnt contradict that C02 exists and it insulates.
C02 is a fact, we know about it and how it behaves, we know plants and some other things absorb C02 to help balance the amount out in the air... we have been destroying plant life for along
@brucebannerization NASA has recently stated that we're about to enter into a solar minimum which will last for at least 30 years. If there were any increases in the global temperature, this will most assuredly not only negate them, but actually trend towards cooling. So much for the global warming scare which really was all politically motivated, anyway. It was being used as a means of imposing cap-and-trade Just another destructive, job killing policy on America.
@LedWhisky69 now im from sweden or commie land you pick. im against ANY economic downfall cause it hurts everyone, frances economy was failing because of the tax breaks now the richest people in france personally "asked" the president to tax them more! now the countrys aconomy is slightly starting to rise up and improve its economy.
i dont understand why americans choose to beg the world for money than taxing their rich?! being rich doesnt nessesarily make you a job-creator!
1. The wealthiest Americans are ALREADY paying more than their fair share. The top 50% of the wage earners are paying over 95% of all the federal income taxes.
2. Taxing them more WILL NOT get us out of this economic disaster that we're in. It will only serve to further stunt job and economic growth.
3. If we gave the government more money, it WILL NOT be used properly, but rather wasted on ineffective stimulus programs and pet projects.
@LedWhisky69 instead of just saying stuff without having anything to back them up would you kindly just propose something. the republicans are getting what they want even though democrats are in charge yet things aren't working out! the republican plan is to stop the democrats whatever the cost and they never show their cards! they say cut the spending but only where they want it to be cut.
taxing is something very unpopular which is why US has always been begging the world for money. ALWAYs
@Saber10inch Nothing to back it up, you say? I have everything I need to back it up. The first point is an accurate statistic. The second point is as much a fact as you can have in economnics and has been proven time and again in history. The third point has also been proven time and again and continues to this very day. The USA does NOT have a "taxes are too low" problem, they USA has a "spending is too damn high" problem. Get a clue, sir.
@LedWhisky69 its funny you say that like you think democrats are the ones spending all the federal revenues. REality check, partisan politics are irrellevant. Clinton had the US in a surplus, Bush plunged teh nation into the worst debt the US has ever seen, its not about dem/republican, its about politicians. Neither party cares, both parties spend. They are both the same. There is no easy solution, but partisan squabbling doesnt fix the nonsense either.
@howlingwolf8 You speak as if you're above the "partisan squabbling" and then you engage in it, yourself with your half-truths. Hypocrite, anyone? Now, here's a reality check for you, my friend. Clinton ignored the dangers of the Middle East for nearly his entire administration. We paid dearly for that when we were finally forced to confront them. That costs money, doesn't it? Obama has already spent that amount in only 2+1/2 years and will continue to spend much more if reelected.
@howlingwolf8 Liberals can't do anything without conservatives. If they could, they would form collectively voluntarily and wouldn't have to force others into their nonsense.
@AroundSun Umm What? do you even read what you post before posting it? This partisan game of hot potato is what is making the financial crisis worse. If Congress could get over themselves and their political careers for long enough to actually discuss a solution, the US wouldnt be in this mess. You want the status quo to continue?
@howlingwolf8 taxing, borrowing, printing, and spending is what is making the crisis worse. the federal government has to step BACK and get OUT of the economy and our lives. that is the only way to fix things. limiting government is what will stop the status quo
@AroundSun For the most part yes, The government is making matters worse, but not because of taxation. The Debt is there, its already spent, its not new money being spent. In order to pay it off, yes you need spending cuts, but not in the ways that will hurt future generations. Cutting health care and social security is nonsense, at least exclusively. Its the bloated military budget that needs the most trim. Reducing taxes now is tantamount to quitting your job when you are in severe debt.
@howlingwolf8 Yes, because of taxation. This raises prices and lowers wages. Making less available jobs and less production. Overall decreasing economic growth. The debt is climbing, and the printed money is starting to catchup with us causing

"Fixing" those "loop holes" would change a lot to the tax system, so its just better to just increase the taxes on what they do pay.
metaleater9 4 months ago
@metaleater9 But that money has already been taxed when it was income in the first place... prior to it being put in to investments. So you want to tax investment income more? Make up your mind, do you want to ENCOURAGE that money to be circulated, or do you want to DISCOURAGE it? Taxing discourages any activity...
Learn about economics before you spew about economics.
eagleeye1975 4 months ago
@eagleeye1975 investment tax and income tax are 2 different things.
so when a rich guy invests relatively little money and then down the road realizes it and gains a huge profit that is taxed VERY little for how much they gain.
that's how the rich are bypassing the income tax, the government doesn't classify it as income.
take the money you just got from the newly taxed rich and make them into food stamps, bam, now people with low income can start saving and spending money.
metaleater9 4 months ago
@metaleater9 Again you dodge the question.
You're nothing but a hater of the wealthy.
eagleeye1975 4 months ago

MortimerTheClueless 5 months ago
@MortimerTheClueless
That's exactly right- and of course cutting government spending means cutting government jobs in the long run- and of course tax cuts would fall into the increased spending category. lol
GrassValleyGreg 5 months ago
@GrassValleyGreg Yes, cut the wasteful bureaucracies and waste of tax dollars. All government knows how to do is waste money. They are put in office by large corporations and return the favors. Most government jobs are wasteful and do not produce anything!! What does the department of energy do? Produce energy? NOPE.....Tax cuts will put money where it belongs. In the hands of the people, to invest and produce. Ultimately creating PRODUCTIVE not wasteful JOBS.
AroundSun 5 months ago
@AroundSun
GrassValleyGreg 5 months ago
@GrassValleyGreg wealth gap is because of the federal reserve system and because of cushy relationships between corporations and big government (corporatism). it is the favors and regulations that create this, not the tax structure. you seem to not know much about tax rates versus tax revenues, the law of unintended consequences, or category spending - so I am just going to stop right here.

Also, when you continually raise taxes on the rich, more and more of them move to different countries. Then, we end up getting less money from taxes than if we didn't raise taxes at all. Raising taxes on the rich actually promotes outsourcing.

That's because they're greedy and unpatriotic.

Democrat is not really so different from Republican.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@EyesDownfield that being said, The financial crisis is only one small thing that will pass, but it has shed light on a very real threat in the US. Partisanship. Both parties are so caught up in blaming the other, that they arent actually discussing solutions. Ron Paul says he has solutions, but his ideas are pie in the sky notions that sound great in a campaign, but arent tangible. The core is that the parties need to go. Nothing gets done as parties are too busy trying to one up each other.

They go to the honest & say do what we tell you or we will audit, inspect, deny license, confiscate, we control the law, WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT!
ilovenh1 5 months ago
@ilovenh1 Really, maybe to a very small extent that is true, but the success or failure of people is ultimately the fault of the person. The fact that the rich are getting richer is due to the good decisions that they are making, many rich people lost their money as well, The poor are getting poorer because of the bad choices made by the poor people. Many poor people have become middle class and rich as well. If people continue to blame others for their failures, they will never succeed.

@brucebannerization
i will do my own research starting with those reliable scientific articles explaining how volcanic output produces more C02 than humans
and ill give it to you, we can tell about long term climate change on planets, again smething that doesnt contradict that C02 exists and it insulates.

I have an idea. Let's ONLY raise taxes on registered Democracts. Let them be generous with THEIR OWN MONEY for a change.

@LedWhisky69 >implying Democrats are the stingy ones

@LedWhisky69 now im from sweden or commie land you pick. im against ANY economic downfall cause it hurts everyone, frances economy was failing because of the tax breaks now the richest people in france personally "asked" the president to tax them more! now the countrys aconomy is slightly starting to rise up and improve its economy.
i dont understand why americans choose to beg the world for money than taxing their rich?! being rich doesnt nessesarily make you a job-creator!
Saber10inch 5 months ago
@Saber10inch The short answer is as follows:

ALWAYs
Saber10inch 5 months ago
@Saber10inch Nothing to back it up, you say? I have everything I need to back it up. The first point is an accurate statistic. The second point is as much a fact as you can have in economnics and has been proven time and again in history. The third point has also been proven time and again and continues to this very day. The USA does NOT have a "taxes are too low" problem, they USA has a "spending is too damn high" problem. Get a clue, sir.

@LedWhisky69 Most registered Democrats don't pay taxes. Nothing to raise. :(

There is no easy solution, but partisan squabbling doesnt fix the nonsense either.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 You speak as if you're above the "partisan squabbling" and then you engage in it, yourself with your half-truths. Hypocrite, anyone? Now, here's a reality check for you, my friend. Clinton ignored the dangers of the Middle East for nearly his entire administration. We paid dearly for that when we were finally forced to confront them. That costs money, doesn't it? Obama has already spent that amount in only 2+1/2 years and will continue to spend much more if reelected.
LedWhisky69 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 Liberals can't do anything without conservatives. If they could, they would form collectively voluntarily and wouldn't have to force others into their nonsense.
AroundSun 5 months ago
@AroundSun Umm What? do you even read what you post before posting it? This partisan game of hot potato is what is making the financial crisis worse. If Congress could get over themselves and their political careers for long enough to actually discuss a solution, the US wouldnt be in this mess. You want the status quo to continue?
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 taxing, borrowing, printing, and spending is what is making the crisis worse. the federal government has to step BACK and get OUT of the economy and our lives. that is the only way to fix things. limiting government is what will stop the status quo
AroundSun 5 months ago
@AroundSun For the most part yes, The government is making matters worse, but not because of taxation. The Debt is there, its already spent, its not new money being spent. In order to pay it off, yes you need spending cuts, but not in the ways that will hurt future generations. Cutting health care and social security is nonsense, at least exclusively. Its the bloated military budget that needs the most trim. Reducing taxes now is tantamount to quitting your job when you are in severe debt.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 Yes, because of taxation. This raises prices and lowers wages. Making less available jobs and less production. Overall decreasing economic growth. The debt is climbing, and the printed money is starting to catchup with us causing
