I don't get where this perception of "British Australia" and "Indigenous Australia" and "Asian Australia" is coming from. Australians, regardless of what their skin colour, ethnicity, religion or language are Australian, legislation is not a right reserved for Anglo Saxons, the Australian community can decide how many migrants it wants to take in and anglo saxons should and I suspect will have a say in that quota. But Asylum Seekers are not migrants.

This episode of Q&A really pissed me off. I was under the impression Marr specifically said he did not think that illegal immigrants should be allowed in. But asylum seekers, whom the high court, the ICJ and the UN generla assembley have said are legal migrants should be treated humanely and compassionately. No, later on in that program Marr said that anyone coming here is not an illegal, but an asylum seeker. Funny how most are not Indonesian, but use Indonesia as a jump point to Australia. Well I would have to see that segment again, but from what I remember, he said that there are no illegal immigrants, just asylum seekers and that they should all be let in. I knew an Iranian asylum seeker who came here from Indonesia. Funny, he didn't mention anything about poor treatment in Indonesia. I look out for my country, unlike people like you who look out for the world at the expense of your country.

As for looking out for your country, when Australia is actually facing the prospect of facing some genuine hardship, a famine for example, then perhaps it is exucsable to ignore the plight of millions of other humans, who are humans deserving of a fair go whever they are born. At any rate it is in Australia's interest to continue to become a progressively more multicultural society, it has been the greatest direction in it'shistory.
