Yes, the game only actually registers him as dead when he hits the ground. If you get him talking as he falls, this does happen.

But If you download jed's half life model viewer

you can go the open the pak. file and fish out a tf1 model

tf1 pak. I think it's called I'm not sure myself

Google GCFScape, Download it and open teamfortressclassic.gcf in your steamapps folder and put the shotgun models in the HL/valve directory, if the folders don't exist, make them.

Well with the arguement going on in the other comments, Barney in hl 2 is the guy in blue shift, and opposing force. In hl 1 there was no name barney. But valve then used the same actor for the voice of all the guards for barney. Barney was one of the guards, but the idea of him was created for blue shift and opposing force.

all The guards are named barney. check the skin

in Half life DM. If we were to get really technical, The only real barney is the one at the end when you open the portal to xen. (unless he dies)
