The 25th (I think) anniversary of the first Trio Album is coming up this year. I heard that it will be re-released for the occasion, but it will include some new surprises, according to Emmy Lou. They are perfect here.

They sang this song on Dolly's TV show although it was not shown. They wore the white lace dresses from the back of the album cover. Dolly's Mother was there that night. The director said that someone's microphone was acting up. He had each one of the women move, and it was Emmylou's! She said her battery pack was under her pantyhose! He told them to stand very still. The segment was cut probably due to the microphone problem, which is too bad since the song was not on the album.

I've always loved Emmy's version of this on her AT THE RYMAN album, but adding Dolly and Linda to the mix makes this even more beautiful. It sounds like they said they recorded this for TRIO, but it wasn't included on the final album. If that's true, it would be so great to see the recording included on a boxed set or some other compilation. BEAUTIFUL!
