My orthodontist lets me choose if I want color or clear elastics and I always choose clear because I think they work better and I told my orthodontist that and he said it's because the color ones have to go through a process or something like that.The clear ones are better in my opinion but I have used color ones in the past.The thing that sucks is I rarely wear elastics and my teeth are straight now but I can't get them off till the overbite's fixed :(

the thing is, the reason why your elastics were so easy to put on is because you have thinner ones..the ones that i have are extremely thick and impossible to put on with a finger. any instruments that i can use?

your suppose to take them off before you eat and brush your teeth then u put them back on you have them on when your asleep becuase that is Hours that you dont mess with them. they fix the space between your uper and lower teeth when your bite down. they fix over bites too.

it doesnt hurt, after it does but it goes away. they basically glue these small brackets onto each tooth one by one and set the glue with an ultraviolet light. then they slide the appropriate wire through each bracket and to keep it secure put tiny bands around the brackets. ( these are the colorful bits of braces. ) you'll feel a bit of pressure but it's not too bad.
