nose mount?...I'm looking for a simple design to use with the Panasonic to be mountable on a Bell 206...I'd be interested to hear what you think and what a system might cost...I've currently designed a simple hard mount which has worked very well and simply manuever the helo to get the footage I need, but a system like this that a cameraman could oper. would be a +
It would fine. Just make sure you dont drill holes for the wires in the fuselage of your 206 before checking with FAA (assuming your in the USA). And if you use wireless that it doesn't interfere with any of your electronics.
I manufacture camera crane jib-arms...I'm looking for a supplier of (affordable) pan & tilt systems to sell with my jibs! Can you contact me with prices etc. I live in the UK!
Yes Kevin, I would be glad to give a "Partner" price. One thing that makes my system different from others is, I use DC motors and Speed controllers. There are 3 ways to operate this pan tilt. RC , Hard wired , and Computer USB. This is a very impresive way to use it. You can program a shot and have exact retakes. I have the patten on this device so we can cut out the middle man. How many would you expect to need in a month?
Thanks, Daniel Call on the phone if you like. 864 933-5329
How have things gone with your efforts with Daniel? Better than expected, or otherwise?
I have the camera in this video, as well as a few others. I go on the road on International productions, and having a computer controlled, or overall Remote head would be awesome.
WIRELESS would REALLY ROCK and I'd be totally THRILLED! In fact, If I could get 4 camera heads that are fully reliable, look professional and are fully wireless and Efficent, Light weight would be perfect too! That'd be AWESOME!
I don't like it, I LOVE IT! YOU'RE A GENIOUS!!

Please post some video that was shot using one of those units that you built and leave the audio recorded by the camera while using it.

are the servos on the tilt system loud where the mic can pick them up.... can't tell the music too loud!
Bl4ckl1st 4 years ago
No, because I use speed controllers and motors instead of servoes. Works pretty slick.Daniel

what is the average price range and is the universal mount to and pro camcorder.

@Bl4ckl1st anyone with half a brain and some knowledge towards film production wouldn't use the camera audio anyway.
