I think before criticizing this performance, people should check out other Green Day covers on Youtube. Most of them are much worse than this. Green Day songs are relatively easy to play, but not to sing, and I think this guy does a pretty good job singing-wise. I'm sure the majority of people criticizing the singing couldn't do half as well.

i realize its a cover. im not stupid. but, when you cover a sound, you dont have to copy the minor details in the voice of the singer of the band. its ok to use your own voice, even if you are covering.
