@SSEi02 my user name was created on a dare. the person thought that i wouldnt create a user name using "666" in it, since HE thought it was evil. the truth is, 666 is the number between 665 and 667, nothing more. before the king james "version" of the bible, there was no hell. the wages of sin are the "grave", not "hell". one simple truth, if you live, you WILL die. from there, you will likely be buried. personally, i would prefer to be thrown to a pack of dingos (return to nature)

This video depicts the honey hunters of Nepal, Kathmandu valley. And the story telling to some extent reminds me of the story of Karna from Mahabharat.
@silentrocker >> "This video depicts the honey hunters of Nepal, Kathmandu valley." Think again bud. What does: the Elephant's, the fire, the woman releasing her baby by the river, a boy on an Elephant finding other Elephant's, and him parading through a town. Have to do with "Honey Hunter's"? Nepal, yes! Dispicting of Honey Hunter's "No"
An awesome video of a mother's love for a child she could not care for and a group of Elephants that saved him and later the boy saving them!
Watch until 1:05. It really does depict the honey hunting tradition in Nepal. If you don't believe, watch the documentary "The Honey-hunters of Nepal". Moreover, I didn't say that it was the ONLY thing depicted. The rest is within your comprehension.. I don't think any explanation is needed. Yes, BUD !!!

Michael Cretu stays behind the Enigma project. He is Romanian and went from Romania to Germany during the dictatorship of Ceausescu. There he married Sandra Laurel, a German singer, whose songs are also composed by him (eg. Hiroshima, Stop For A Minute, Heaven Can Wait, etc.
@magazinu what is this crap about the Enigma project? It's just the name of the"band". Enigma. You know what the word means, right? I think that is as deep as you need to go for hidden meanings and truths from Michael Cretu.
Just remember, in an interview with him in 1985 he told the interviewer that he did a LOT of sampling. Sampling is not usually considered stealing.
@nancyneptune I don't understand the meaning of your message and I didn't say anything about stealing in my comment. Of course I know the meaning of the word Enigma, because this word exists in the Romanian vocabulary too. The fact that M.C. is born in Romania it's just the truth.
@magazinu no you didn't say anything about stealing, I was imparting a bit of information to you. And some people consider "sampling" to be stealing. I don't care one way or the other, myself.
"taxidi makri perimeno apo tin thalassin karavoto" ..."ke tora tha rthei, ketora tha rthei" .....in Greek means "A far away journey by the sea I am waitting for, by a ship" ...."and now will come"..."and now will come".

incredible, borught back memories of when i went to Khatmandu, Nepal, 10yrs ago, i ssen the statue with the eyes on, so much going on around these temples, very busy place, somewhere, where i would love to visit again.
the historical princess Koonti had conceived a child after having a pre marital affair with the Sun God ..."Soorya".....ashamed and afraid of the infamy that would result......the mother tucked up the baby in a basket and set him to sail....the boy grew up and was raised in the lap of nature and grew up to be the greatest warrior of all times "Karan"....the myth has taken in a lot of regional flavours down the ages.....the region is Ladakh....
@michaelarkengel Sir before commentin on Vedic Lituature and Vedic Religion please gets the facts right . Kunti did not have an "pre marital Affair" with anyone . She just recited the surya invocation given to her by the sage Durvasa , just to test it , when the surya appeared he said because of the invocation he was bound to give her a gift , and that gift was the baby karna , Kunti never gave birth to him but was still afraid that people might not believe her and thats why karan had to go.
@Galavya41 dude...tht is how the text is interpreted( for convience I suppose)...but @michaelarkengel is correct....our ancient mythology needs a lot of intelligence to understand as the text carries a lot of subtle hints...for example ravana having ten heads is a metaphor for him being extremely intelligent.
@venkick Sir the text is understood "this way " by outsiders , tell any Hindu that Karan was the result of a "Pre-Marital Affair" & He/She is bound to correct you if He/She knows the story as it is told in the Mahabharat.
Hmmm I cant understant why you said @michaelarkengel is correct ? Many people ,particularly westerners have this misconception , many Indians do too.
I understand that you have some understanding of our texts , Its very good , we need more guys like you .
@Galavya41 : No reason to get so hyper. Its not in the luck of everyday women to sleep with the Gods and practice Kaaamaasutraa, You should be proud that Koonti could. There is a parallel in the Iliad too, where Achilles was born as a result of a premarital affair. Gods made humans , its natural that they passed some of their traits to us ordinary mortals, nothing to be ashamed of really,
@michaelarkengel Sir Nobody is getting "Hyper"... . The concept of Greek gods is different from Hindu Devas , Kunti never" practiced Kamasutra" with Surya , please understand this , Karna was offered to her , but she never gave birth to him .According to the epic the baby appeared out of her ear -Hence the name " Karna meaning ear" .
I am not ashamed of anything , just mentioning what's mentioned in the epic.
@michaelarkengel In the original epic Mahabharata, it is spelled Karna, not karan. And Kunti did not have a affair with Surya; after serving a wise man, Durvasa, for a year when he was visiting her father's palace, he forsaw that she would have difficulties in her future marriage to Pandu due to infertility. So he granted her the gift to conceive a child by any god she chose. She was curious and tested it before her marriage; sure enough, Surya granted her a child, but she remained a virgin.
@hees0009 : I dont get it, why the fact whether she remained a virgin , is that important. Its coz of guys like you with distorted puranitical notions of a woman's chastity - that unwed mothers are compelled to do away with their newborns even to this day.
@michaelarkengel Sir thats how people were in those days, not only in india but around the world ,and Sir lets keep the Purans out of this, Even great Rishis cant completely understand the the meaning behind the Purans, then who are we to comment on them.
And since Karna , magically appeared out of kunti's ear ( don't ask me how ) and not her womb she was practically a virgin but still Karna's mother.
I hope you are not mad or anything , but people must know the correct version of the tale.
@michaelarkengel Hmm. Interesting that you took my post on what an ancient epic writer from India created hundreds of years ago regarding Karna's birth as having anything to do with my personal belief on the worthiness of a unwed woman or her child. I find your assumption judgemental and offensive. And I'm a not a guy, just a girl who loves mythology of all nations; whether I like a myth or not is totally irrelevant--I want to respect the original author and get the facts right.
@hees0009 : Lets try to be realistic, coz neither me nor u were around to comprehend what had really happened at that point in history. I am Michael Arkengel Seymour and you can find me in Facebook
The singing is actually Mongolian traditional "long" song. It was actually stolen from Mongolian well known artist. There was a talk of copyright law suit which never took place. Another Mongolian song you can hear in Sadness of Enigma.

@Galavya41 : No reason to get so hyper. Its not in the luck of everyday women to sleep with the Gods and practice Kaaamaasutraa, You should be proud that Koonti could. There is a parallel in the Iliad too, where Achilles was born as a result of a premarital affair. Gods made humans , its natural that they passed some of their traits to us ordinary mortals, nothing to be ashamed of really,
michaelarkengel 1 year ago

She was curious and tested it before her marriage; sure enough, Surya granted her a child, but she remained a virgin.
hees0009 1 year ago
@hees0009 : I dont get it, why the fact whether she remained a virgin , is that important. Its coz of guys like you with distorted puranitical notions of a woman's chastity - that unwed mothers are compelled to do away with their newborns even to this day.
michaelarkengel 1 year ago
