Watching this guy handle a £1400 lens with one hand made me cringe. Also when he pick up the camera by the body! Good way to destroy the mount with a lens that heavy.
@DouganSteve it would make you cringle if you could see how I treat my lenses (sigma EX e.g.) and bodies. Those are tools and not made for the glass cabinet.
You are of course joking. Sony G glass is just as good as anything churned out by Canikon. This a 70-500mm lens so of course it is not f2,8. Sony have the 70-200G f2.8 for that.
It looks like a pro lens with all those buttons on it. I have the 70-200mm f/2.8 but I don't know how to use those buttons yet. Also, I wonder if I could get a comparable performance with the 70-200mm f/2.8 and the 2x telephoto extender.
I didn't buy it. I got the Sony kit as a gift. I'd never buy Sony for my own money. I'd go for Pentax. I am still planning to get a Pentax kit once I have the budget.

these are super expensive, I do want one though!
I have the 70-300mm which is MUCH more affordable . But man it would be nice to have this! Great lens!
