@tracelaaa i added onto my family's plan and with unlimited txt and wed and only 200 min of talk time, i got it for $45 a month. there are apps where you can call out, so unless you're on the phone a lot, i recommend sticking with the app to make calls! otherwise its $75 a month

@AbubuLOL it's not 'FREE' cuz you have to pay tax on Full Retail Value. It's one of the biggest scams in cell phone industry. I suggest buying an unlocked phone from Amazon or ebay (tax free), put in a Simple Mobile unlimited SIM for $60/mo -- cheaper than 2-year TMobile contract.

@batstube You have to look for software that does that. I'm in no way an expert, but I was able to create a ringtone using software that came with my RAZR V2, and that was around 3 years ago. I'm sure you'll find an even better easy-to-use program today if you search in the right places.

I just got this phone today for FREE from Best Buy! THE promotion's over buuuut it still sells for just $99.99 through Best Buy with an upgrade or new contract. Sooo. I'd recommend that over going through T-Mobile.

My girlfriend has T-Mobile, and she has CONSTANT problems and HORRIBLE reception coverage.

T-Mobile is apparently a really annoying to deal with company, they had to send 100$ rebates out to a lot of their customers because everyone lost ALL of their saved info, contacts, etc. when their server crashed.

@Chyannskye there's an app for that...no literally there is. You should be able to do it without downloading an app. If not, downloand Ringo. You can download an MP3 downloader from the market and use RINGDROID toe edit the song to whatever you want your ringtone to be. your welcome.

I agree njanaki I hate! my hd2! but you can make it run android fairly well. However the reason I don't like mine is due to failures of the touch screen in any rom or radio I use. since I have been with tmobile since 98 though I just called their retention department into giving me the vibrant for free.

The swype feature is probably the most impressive thing I have seen on a phone (especially since I SUCK at touch screen keyboards). Also, the resolution is amazing. Even though the iPhone has retina display, I think the AMOLED screen has a slight advantage. Samsung really up'ed their game. Congrats on a good phone Sammy, keep em' coming!

@jkh889522 $500. But, with a contract ($200) you pay $20 for monthly service. If you buy it for $500 and pay $60 a month for 24 months = $1940. With contract is $200 + $80/month for 24 months = $2120. Cost less over time to buy w/o contract. 36 months = $2660 versus $3080

@jessicach29 My numbers are correct. As are yours. T-Mobile offers multiple options for service plans. For 100/80 you get unlimited everything. For 80/60 you get 500min of talk and unlimited everything else. Like most providers they offer many options to accommodate all kinds of users. Regardless of plan, the savings is still the same because the corresponding plans all have a $20 difference in price.
