  • Magnificent, Mr. Phillip!

  • @RevalenceProductions Thank you - I'm just sorry the sound quality was not better on this quite old video!

  • Hi Phillip! Magnificent performance! I look forward to hearing more!

  • @RoseMarieJamesJr Thank you. I must play some more Rubinstein!

  • Mr.Phillip, BRAVO!!!

  • @hornsea58 Thank you!

  • did the actual arthur rubinstein write this?

  • No. Anton (1829-94) and Artur (1887-1982) were two unrelated pianists. I am not sure that Artur (whom I saw play live) published any compositions.

  • not Artur

  • Im learning this piece as well... I just wanted to see if i really wanted to learn to play this, but this sounds so great, im inspired!!

  • Thank you for your kind comment. I did this video quite a long time ago with my old camera, so I'm glad it still comes over OK. I wish you luck with your own work on the piece.

  • im currently learning this piece, but i'm having trouble with the segment with the left hand in triplets while the right hand is playing the melody. any suggestions?

  • You just have to focus on the tune in the right hand, keep the left hand even, and make sure that the beginning of each beat is synchronised. You might be able to find some technical exercises to help.

  • It is by my troth very beautiful and hard structure! In your version is phenomenal!

  • Thanks - I am not sure it really deserves that accolade though!

  • It is a more straightforward piece to bring off.

  • this one was quite good, the climax was just like I imagined it.
