My dad's bird says peekaboo, but you have to actually play with him. All you have to do is cover your face and say peek so he can hear you, then make sure he sees you uncover your face and he'll say kaboo. it's so cute!

My bird follows me every where and when i tried to put her in a cage at night for bed she tried to bite me. So i had to put her on a stuffed animal(which she also viscously attacked) and quickly closed the cage door behind her she looked sad but I was really sleepy plus it was 12:00 am she had a long day of play and following me already! lol she's sweet to me when shes not trying to bite me though. She doesn't like it when other birds get close to me.

HAHA! I used to have 2 of these. One got bit by a snake 10 years ago, my other one just died at the vet. That was a day after she/he was just sitting at the bottom of the cage all the time. Still don't know what happened. They are incredibly clever. Could never get them fully tame though, only semi-tame. If I just got near them, they'd take a chunck out of whatever they could, my arm, ouch.... And they loved being outside in the garden.

You need to just aproach him with one hand slowly as it is harder for him to bite your whole hand. Do not attempt to touch him at first. Just let him get use to your hand and he will learn that you are not going to hurt him. Then once he stops lunging at your hand then start to touch his head with your hand. Very slowly and gentely and he will get use to you and will let you pet him. You have to be very patient while doing this.

@Lilosol he is still not trusting me enough for me to physically touch him but occationally he will let me sratch his head. as far as i can say of how i treat him i give him his space but also try to spend some time with him. he is also a biter and will not let me carry him sometimes without lunging to try and bite. it would really help me if you can make the video on how to get your bird to trust you. :)

well if you look around and long enough, you can adopt an older one from a shelter-or in the paper for way cheaper then getting one from a breeder. (Well atleast u can where i live) hope that helps
