What I learned from Disney is, when you try to sing like the "Little Mermaid," people tell you to shut up (oh wait, that was my mom). Disney's stories are what they are. Back in Walt's time, like with most of the aforementioned movies, the works were simply brillaint-heartfelt, touching, meaningful, lighthearted, and family-friendly. No doubt that in some of the current Disney movies, and maybe a handful even in these older ones, that there are lewd jokes flying way over the kiddies heads that make the adults in the room either laugh or gag. But that's just it-the kids don't get it! No harm done, minus all the musicals.
