If there is so much of a market in canada for raw milk, sell it in stores. But make sure that it is inspected at the dairy like all the other high quality canadian milk and packaged to make sure it clear that it is raw. If people want this product, then there has to be a safer way to do it then have this guy bottling it in his barn.

We have a good quota system in canada, and this one guy is putting all canadian dariy farmers at risk. One person gets sick/dies from raw unpasturized milk, the public does not care what it is, they just see milk, and then consumption goes to nothng and nobody buys milk anymore. Would it be so difficult to just buy the quota like everyone else, he would probably make more money that way too.

Same listeria that caused the Maple Leaf crisis can be in raw milk. You should never be allowed to buy raw milk at stores. People today know little about food. Farming practice is not tought in schools today. Kids are forced to take Art, French etc .. but they don't have to take a course about the food they stick in their mouths three times a day.

@slimdaver you want to let "health canada" to monitor what is produced? who monitors health canada when their first responsibility is to the government. The governments first duty is to the lobbyists that want the gov to change the laws in their favor. There is no doubt in my mind that the maple leaf "crisis" was a gov. setup. All they have to do is say they found something but it doesn't mean it's true.

What the HELL did we do for centries before pasteurization? I mean we are told to breast feed our children and we aren't told to bump into a bottle and pasterize it.

Our mothers never rolled around in their own poop. Cows are only on pasture for 6 months of the year in Canada. Rest of the time they are in barns. Cows produce a lot of manure. Teats are well washed, but there are a lot of "what if's" that could happen while milking.

Every dairy farmer in Canada drinks raw milk.The proof that raw milk is safe to drink is that we have milk to drink from raw milk drinking farmers! If raw milk was so dangerous as CFIA tells us then our dairy farmers would be too ill to farm..Just anothr case of The Emperors New Clothes here!

I saw this on the news once, and what the Canadian government is doing is bullshit. In fact, Canadians are buying more food that is being imported from foreign countries rather than buying locally, and the government and some organizations fear this maybe a problem for Canada. And they try to tell us to buy more local food and support our farmers. But now I know the reason why people don't buy local food here. Its cause our food is crap! Other countries make proper food. By the way I love raw dairy, raw 2nd + generation grass fed kefir is AMAZING! You notice I said 2nd generation +?? Buying caves from grain fed mothers and feeding them grass is NOT LONG ENOUGH! I'm sorry to say, the damage grains do still effects cows up to 3 generations from the start. This is the nightmare the grain fed culture has released on us. The only way to defend against it in the moment is STRONG LIVERS free of heavy metal/chemical poisoning.

So people that drink raw milk from healthy cows (grass fed, no drugs, no injections, fresh air, farm where the cows have lots of room to move around) don't get sick and people that drink pasteurized milk get sick and have many other problems. Okay ladies and gentleman right here is why we always loose these battles against the government. Raw dairy is amazing for some people, it can literally reverse diseases. Does this mean every one who consumes raw dairy is never going to get sick? NO!
