thing is, it wont let you select a pre determined area of your screen, like camatasia studio does... or does it?

Well Camtasia does screen capturing and can be setup for live streaming output. DimDim is more of a broadcast tool where Camtasia is more of a recording tool for development of online learning objects.

Cheers Kevin, I just looked into that Camtasia, seems one is limited to a very small screen size, like 320x240 or something. :(

In the properties section just increase the screen size, I have not ran into any issues?

During capture you can select full screen, during streaming you select the amount of the screen you want to stream and also can be full screen?

You will need to provide more information about exactly what you are doing, might be able to work this one out.
