Honestly, you guys are expecting to much! The movie was not about "thick plot", or how people view certain kinds of people. I don't think that this movie was trying to say women are objects--it's all about interpertaion. I think it was saying society and Hollywood are really into viewing women as objects, and these womens are using what they've got--their "weapons"--or what people think make them objects to break free from being an object. The movie was meant for interpertaion. Snyder said so.

At first I hated this stereotypical 'blonde in a school uniform kicking Samurai ass made for a male audience' movie, but then I really paid attention to the story line. Ignoring all the visual vomit I soon realized that it's really a female empowerment story and all the eye candy was to get the men to take their ladies to see it; now that's what I call a Sucker Punch LOL!
Even bloody Supergirl rocked but this film sets back the image of strong women by 50 years. This movie should have been released in the 1800s. It should be called THIS MOVIE SUCKS

It seems this movie has divided its audience in to two clear halves: those that saw a great concept executed with fantastic visuals and great story-telling, and those that were left confused after the first half-hour, then spent the rest wondering why young women were battling orcs and robots with machine guns.
This is clearly not a movie for those who have hard time following the concept. She's in a mental institute that is run by a sick pervert. She's a bit looney which explains why she tends to "fall in to her owns wonderlands." It's a good movie, but it loses it's touch if you can't follow it.

When I first saw trailers for this movie, I thought it was a mindless action movie for guys to ogle at. Watched it today, I LOVED IT. LOVVVVVED IT. @mondeost2202008 The way stories work is that there is usually good characters and bad characters, the good characters are meant to overtake the bad ie. dominate them. It wouldn't work for both to be dominating, there must be variety. Seeing as in most movies, it is the woman who needs to be rescued and is seen as week and stupid, this is a bit refreshing(minus the skanky outfits). I would be happy though if a nearly equal amount of movies had men being dominant as women

Sucker Punch was advertised as something it was not, it was made to look like "Underworld" or "Resident Evil" on the advertisements, the ironic part is if they had actually made the movie as they had marketed it then it would have been much more sucessful, so the advertisers here were a lot more in tune then the director of this movie who only teased us with themes that were not relevant to the rest of the movie

Sucker Punch:The trailer makes u not want 2 watch on in fear of seeing too much. The movie makes you want 2 kill someone in anger of seeing too much. Cocky & pretentious, the movie loses the plot within 20 minutes, the story in 25 minutes & my interest in 30 minutes. The only thing that delivers in this waste is the title. So save urself getting Sucker Punched by one of the forerunners for this years Razzies!
If you didn't "get" Sucker Punch, I would suggest euthanizing yourself because your limited mental capabilities are probably just going to hamper the rest of the species.

@mariab0609 why? it has a very objective and consistent character arc, it gives proper foreshadowing and background to most of the main cast, it has an amazing soundtrack with songs sung by the very actors, it has what probably is the best photography in the last 2 years, the overall presentation and tone of the movie is eerie and fits into it perfectly, and the escapism is one of the best ways to put a joint effort thorugh many movie genres.. so well.. tell me, why is it the 'worst movie ever'?

When I first saw trailers for this movie, I thought it was a mindless action movie for guys to ogle at. Watched it today, I LOVED IT. LOVVVVVED IT. I don't understand the bad reviews, any time I read them, they got parts of the story wrong, aha. I didn't think I'd like it but I did, I think a bunch of girls would like it as well. WATCH IT :) It's so good.

i was expecting the movie to have a crap storyline and be crammed with random hot chicks, guns and everything else guys like just to make some quick money. After i watched it, i can say that this is definitely a must watch. The story was well put and interesting, not at all mindless.

Not to be sexist but this is just another Feel good movie for women. The first ones were alright but the following were a bit too much I mean most I've seen have men portrayed as nothing but weaklings.
Can't we have a film were both women and men were as equally dominating?

@mondeost2202008 The way stories work is that there is usually good characters and bad characters, the good characters are meant to overtake the bad ie. dominate them. It wouldn't work for both to be dominating, there must be variety. Seeing as in most movies, it is the woman who needs to be rescued and is seen as week and stupid, this is a bit refreshing(minus the skanky outfits). I would be happy though if a nearly equal amount of movies had men being dominant as women

Sucker Punch was advertised as something it was not, it was made to look like "Underworld" or "Resident Evil" on the advertisements, the ironic part is if they had actually made the movie as they had marketed it then it would have been much more sucessful, so the advertisers here were a lot more in tune then the director of this movie who only teased us with themes that were not relevant to the rest of the movie

Sucker Punch:The trailer makes u not want 2 watch on in fear of seeing too much. The movie makes you want 2 kill someone in anger of seeing too much. Cocky & pretentious, the movie loses the plot within 20 minutes, the story in 25 minutes & my interest in 30 minutes. The only thing that delivers in this waste is the title. So save urself getting Sucker Punched by one of the forerunners for this years Razzies!
