can you give me some advice on losing weight? i am a nurse so i eat on the run a lot and get good cardio running around the hospital haha... so i make a lot of healthy snacks...but as far as toning. in order to lose weight, I have a pretty slow metabolism..and i know that cardio is the first priority but what about toning? is it necessary to worry about toning til youre close to the goal weight? meaning, is it just because toning makes your stronger to do more cardio? i hope im making sense =)
@Sball124 YES! Toning is vital to a transformation; it boosts your metabolism for the entire day, not just during the time of exercise, like cardio does :)

@purpleberry245 Hey I'm a teen too, I'm 18 and I've been working out for awhile. You should definitely be doing some form of physical activity for at least half an hour a day whether powerwalking or doing a workout. The type of workout definitely depends on your goals but at least 30 minutes
if you use a high incline on the treadmil would it be as good as stairs..and how high on cline should I use? I dont have stairs in my house or anywhere like that I can use the stairs...
@BedOfRoses7 your knees are probably weak from squats because you are not doing them correctly. a lot of people misinterpret squats and sink their weight into their knees and their toe area. Not only will this cause you to have knee problems, but the workout also does not work your muscles correctly! Sink your weight into your heels and make sure went you go down to squat that your thighs are parallel to the floor, and you stay conscious of your muscles by squeezing them on your way up! :)
Should these exercises be done all together as one workout or should they be incorporated into a workout with different moves focusing on different parts of the body?
