Er.. not really. Ton is used informally to mean "a buttload" but they both have scientific measurements too.

A "Tonne" is a metric ton (1000kg), and a "Ton" is the imperial one (2000lb in the US and 2240lb in the UK).

Halloween has become an unofficial gay holiday (gay as in gay, not as in lame). By the time you get to college, maybe you'll see what I mean. I've been to 2 costume parties in the last 3 weeks, and still have another one to go to this weekend. It's a little bit of overkill, but the parties are a fun way to socialize.
