  • Sweet sound man! Awesome!!

  • Hello, nice car and sound, im gonna buy me a same car soon, but i just woundering if you know a website or something or if you know how you can tune the orginal 350 rocket enging a few hp more if it will go :) just woundering.

  • sweet car man !!!

  • Sick, ive got an all red royal in the same year. I wish I had the money to make mine sound this awesome. Looks like its in decent shape

  • all you need is tube headers, some 2,5" pipe and 2 mufflers from the junkyard. this has walkers, 2.5" hole straight through, if I remember they were the front mufflers of some sort of nissan 2.0 diesel

  • @ANTIwestboroBC or you could just spend 40 bucks on two cherry bomb glass packs and have some place weld them on there

  • WAT KIND OF MUFFLERS

  • OK that is great...we don't get cars like that here in the UK we just drive hairdryers on wheels. Bring back the Oldsmos thats what i say!!

  • Aww thats a sweet '79. Hell I know, my dad had one for ten years. Not the best one made though, cause it often caused headaches to my parents, like when it wouldnt start. I think it was Firday job. Originally the car had a medium blue metallic with matching interior. You can imagine how cooll she looked when my dad her repainted navy blue in the late eighties.

  • that sounds mean

  • what kinda mufflers

  • nice

  • ok i now have a 78 lincoln markV 400V8 with stock straight duals with cherry bombs instaled it has the stock cats right below the exhaust manifold if i remove those will i get that roaring sound? it already rumbles but i want that growling sound when i eve the engine so without the cats will i get that sound

  • yeah i like it alot i had 3in put on mine but put side exhaust because there isnt room over the axel to get 3 inch to bend over it but its 3 in out the side infront of the right rear tire and its sounds pretty mean and i enjoy pissing people off when i pass people on the highway in these old sleds they dont see it coming and by the time you pass them its too late too catch you these cars are great i love them i notice no hub caps me either lol i have 2 originals that were on it but took them off

  • THATS A MONSTER ....I RATE A 10

  • ohhh man she purrs so like no other

  • good sound!!!

  • yes i love those 88s. i also have a 76 delta 88 i got not to long ago. i plan on dual exhaust y pipes behind the cat with glass packs instead of mufflers. it should sound real nice.

  • Yeah amazing sound, like straight pipes! My dad had a 79 non Royale 88 and thats one of the cars that got me hooked on big ol american cars!!

  • hey i notice alot of you guys have dual exhaustwith your delta 88's and i have a two door delta 88 royale with the 350 rocket and i bought it with 92,000 miles it runs awesome but the guy told me you couldnt run dual exhaust and wouldnt put 3 inch exhaust under it and i was curious what muffler sounds the best with these cars

  • sure you can put dual exhausts, in delta the gas tank is in the middle of the car so you can run the pipes next to the tank. in custom cruiser, caprice etc the tank is on the driver side and therefore there's no space but in delta it's not a problem. i used some sort of 3" mufflers that had a straight hole right thru em, I think they were about 1ft long...

  • nice. sounding engine. sounds it has allot of power. mine is the delta 88 royale 350 4 barrel duel exhaust with flowmaster exhaust tips. big ones. what size engine mine sounds like it kind of

  • damnnnnn that's like an instant hard on the low deep idle sounded great i liked the 3 1/2 inch tail pipe's

  • Nice job man. I have a '77 Royale with a fresh engine I built. Check it: -4.155in x 3.875in SBC -Eagle 4140 Forged Crank -Eagle 5140 6in Forged H-Beam Rods -11.6:1 Ross Forged Aluminum Pistons -Total Seal Chromoly Gapless Rings -MoTown 220 Cast Iron heads -Manley Severe Duty 2.08 / 1.60 Valves -Crane Hydraulic Roller Cam .539/.558 Lift 230/238 Duration @.050 -Crane 1.6 Aluminum Roller Rocker Set -Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake -750 CFM Jet Performance Stage II Quadrajet It goes pretty Good.
  • soo fine^^

  • I had a 79 with 350 4 brl. and it got 18 MPG

because of the horrible 2.4-1 rear axel ratio.

I didn't even know that was an option. Swapping in lower gears[higher numerically eg;3.73-1]really makes 70's Oldsmobiles accelerate faster than most other mods. And swapping in the 2000RPM stall torque converter

from a diesel model helps too.

  • that is a nice sound!

  • can those cars be found in finland often?

can they be imported there easily?

  • Mä näin tän auton kesällä Pieksämäellä, oli silloin ilman konetta.. Ei ois ollu paha rojekti, missä lie nyt

  • nice!now lets see a burnout

  • About how much power does your Olds have?

  • stock engine would have about 180hp, and this, ummmm dunno really, somewhere between 250hp and 350hp I think :D

  • onko pakosarjakin vaihdettava?

    Miks laukes oldsi.

  • Miten saa touollaiset äänet?

    Hieno peli!

  • It sounded like you had a slight rod knock when you revved it up at 1:10 - 1:15. Did anybody else hear it?

  • this totally inspires me to want to get a beautiful old beast of a car! :D

  • Sounds good. I just dropped a '68 350 into my Delta, but it's not running yet

  • that's such an awesome beast :D

  • Jumaliste on komeet äänet :)
