  • 1:25 sounds like Cleavland from family guy goin "AHHH AH" in the audience haaaa!

  • Are you sure thats not his dad playing drums. cause jason has it

  • -Do bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music?

If you think this is good well...Introducing the next big thin my channel attempts to open your mind up to a whole new world of musical truth. Don't forget to subscribe =]

  • So many years playing Led Zeppelin, but they are still the same energy. Plant and Jimmy are older people, but swept out better than younger ones. They still are young, never die.

  • Robert Plant should keep his music, he's still got it!!

  • Jason does a great job here. i would prefer a new album called Plant, Page, Jones, Bonham of new material over a tour of greatest hits. i thought Walking to Clarksdale was lovely.

  • I really like this version. Jason was quite inventive and at times sounded like he was channeling his dad for real.

  • GOD DAMN PAGE STILLS HAS IT

  • Jason dun good on those drums.

  • what happened to johns long hair????

  • @EseHomeboyEc thats his son, jason bonham. John bonham has been dead a long long time..where have you been man lol

  • @MrBaseball65 i meant John Paul Jones

  • I like jason bonham.....but he doesnt have the same chops his old man had.....

  • This is the closest that Zeppelin gets to bluegrass--all that great acoustic stuff aside, Bobby Plant.

  • why did they make 02 Arena???? they should have done the concerts en Wembley

  • I met Jason back in October, it was like meeting Jesus.

  • @BEATIT696969 Cool!!!!

  • I know I'm in the minority here, but I prefer this performance of "Black Dog" to the vast majority of other live performances... and I've heard 'em from '71 through the Page/Plant stuff and beyond. Like the lower key for the guitar work, love the texturing of Plant's vocals. Not crazy about the drumming, as it's a little too "busy" at times for my taste.

  • plant sounds awful singing low, should sing the way he always did :/

  • @MookieTookie09 are you asking a 60 years old dude to sing like when he was 20 really he is a human

  • what is? some idiot thought jason bonham was john bonhams dad!

  • If they tour again, I HAVE to see them - I'll phone the ticket-office tomorrow!

  • This is one of the better recordings from the concert.

  • Disagree. You can tell Jimmy and John Paul are having difficulty following him. Maybe it's just me...

  • Jimmy PAGE !!! the greatest of all

  • jimmy page just wants to play. it is great to hear him bend those notes the way he used to in '73.

  • At least Plant knows better than to try an reach the high notes...can't imagine how that would turn out...

  • I hate to say it, but Jason should really respect his fathers playing style by not adding so many extra fills. It's almost to say he's a better drummer or something. Really strange...

  • @sydpix why? and no it doesnt, its his style.... it sounds good doesnt it?

sure john was a absolutely fantastic drummer, but just because jason is his son doesnt mean he has to be exactly like his father,i dont mind the extra fills he adds its cool just listen to the music

  • @sydpix he's not his father he can't play EXACTLY like him.

  • @sydpix he's not his father he can't play EXACTLY like him. I'd rather hear him add something to it then hear him try to imitate his father and not quite get it.

  • At this age Jimmy page can still pull that guitar, there will never be another jimmy page

  • someone told me about this band..they're not bad now that i've seen them..

  • not bad.. better than springsteen LOL

  • 1:39 Oops! Feedback! :o

  • Come on Zeppelin, when are you gonna sell the DVD of this concert? Its been like 3yrs

  • @sirdon1229 ...well it took them I think only 26yrs to release some more live material after "The song remains the same"concert came out,so..............

  • @sirdon1229 There isn't one.

  • @MerlinBunny1

I know there isn't one. I said WHEN Learn how to read a sentence LOL

  • @sirdon1229 There ISN'T one because it WASN'T recorded. LOL

  • NO WORLD TOUR THANKS ! i love led zep but getting old sucks for everyone...

  • @kidzsanlorenzo You do know Robert sang it like this ALL THE TIME live right? even in the old days. this exact way.

  • still got the moves robert

  • hard rock!

  • Great sound!

  • Next time they do that I'm robbing a bank and going no matter what. This is awesome!

...and no matter how old he is, jeans still do look awesome on Robert Plant XDD

  • jason bonham is as good, if not better, than his father! this guy fucking rules!

  • This thing came out in my mothership disc. O.O

  • i wish i could have seen that show.. would sell my soul just to see them live one last time..

  • These guys are the best. Rock and roll bands today should be required to take a class on how to play by studying these guys before they even attempt to go on stage.

  • What a bad ass concert!!

    LUCKY.

  • I can imagine if they did tour it would be so awsome, but I bet the tickets would be gone before they would hit the sales booths

  • @MsAnna45 yeah tell me about it! haha

  • man this is way different than the 70´s. is just not the same thing.

  • yea that's jason...or someone who looks just like'm!

  • wow plant is ruined

  • I saw Aerosmith last summer and Steven Tyler can still sing like he did 30 years ago...maybe Led Zep should consider him

  • @Citation2009 dude led zeppelin should and WILL NOT be called "Led Zeppelin" Without Robert Plant!! What has gotten into you! Robert plant is like fine wine: he gets better with age.

  • @Citation2009 I heard they turned him down Is that true. And if it was Good. He's a great old singer, but he's not Robert. Id pay more to see the real band.

  • yo jason is playing some pretty mean fills

  • even at 59 he still hit a C5

  • I was kinda scared in the beginning of the song, but somewhere around 2:40 I felt it - That is still Robert Plant we know and love. You don't even have to see him, in his voice you can still feel those sexy twitches of his (both vocally and bodily :P)from a long long time ago, you can still feel the raw energy. okay, so he aged, whatever. that's life.

I won't even mention Jimmy. He is, and always will be perfect. Beautiful.

Hell, I'd still do both of them. >:-)

  • Plants voice is toast. I saw them live in the World Series of Rock back in the day...what a difference...

  • THAT SOUNDED GREAT! But it's clear that they really have one tour left in them and if they're going to do it they better do it quick. But Robert Plant feels that the bands legacy would take a hit if they would tour one more time and that it really is over. I don't feel that way, I think they do have one more tour left in them. Here's hoping they will.!

  • First, it's unbelievable that Plant ever sang the way that he did for all those years. That's a very hard, if not impossible thing to maintain. The band tuned down a whole step for most for this show to accommodate for Plant's loss of range and he still struggled. It was a wise call not to tour. People age.

  • hey if bad co. can go out surely these gods can still bring it.

im being selfish here never got to see them

  • Incredible performance, super video quality. They should do this every year.

  • @phattyusn Bwahahaha!!! nice comment...u r right!!!

  • oh yeah budyy-fucker, you sing much better in your toilet.. and you even comp yourself up with farts - a true one-man band!

  • I love that our government allows un-educated people to have access to computers! How else would they get their unbelievably profound opinions out to the masses?!?

  • I rather doubt that we have a common government... Or it would be such a pity that I might even emigrate somewhere.

  • he's 60+ years old...

  • and he is a traitor to rock n roll if he didn't go to goddamn bluegrass this wouldn't happen

  • dude he was what like 59 in this vid. give him a break. there arent many older guy sout ther who can still sing with the exeption of paul mccartney but then agian paul is doing a lot of shows so he can still practice

  • Have you ever heard Paul Rodgers ?

  • Jason plays like the guys from sims 2, don't you think? I mean, he's movements, especially when he's doing those fills, like 0:24, etc.

  • umm..no more bite to plant`s voice,,,but hey over 25 years since they tore the stadiums down..jason does his dad well i think...

  • GREAT!

  • Is that Jason Bonham on the drums?!

  • Yep...sure is! He done Poppa proud huh.

  • I wish they play in mexico soon

  • @delacerdaa you bet your ass it is!

  • @delacerdaa No its John Bonham his dad

  • @ybot1983 for an old guy he looks great! LOL

  • @ybot1983 its his son jason dickhead!

  • @zog97xy its called irony

  • @delacerdaa -- yes

  • @delacerdaa yes they wouldent play with anyone else since Bonzo taught him how to play

  • @delacerdaa yes!!!!!!!! that is Bonzo Jr.

  • I think Plant's voice has a lot of character. He also sounds incredible with Alison Krause.

  • I love how the crowd all stands there filming with their cellphones, just to show the world that they saw Led Zeppelin live!

I have seen Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation btw. It was very good.

  • is it me or does the guitar in this seem down tuned a bit

  • it is, i think its tuned out two tones

  • they had to tune down for roberts voice. he cant hit the notes like he used to.

  • i wish i was there

  • lame rich crowd

  • the jason bonham drum's breaks are so good!! and the sound is like thunder!

  • Listen to that boy wail on those skins ... holy shit!

  • hahaha they lowered the key of song a whole step for plants voice.

now its G not A listen closely if any of you fuckers know music

  • haha, still sounds great though.

  • yeah i noticed that but what do u expect theyre old as fuck (except the drummer's son) lmao... but i love them anyways

  • yep. but when you think about it, they're only in their 60's, besides Jason. B.B. King is 83 and still playing his heart out. when people are reaching a certain age and still have the love and feel of the music (while still sounding great) can cant just toss them aside, you have no choice but to love them, haha.

  • Yea and your point is?

  • and les paul is 93 and still plays every week and in the same key as he did 75 years ago

  • so that is les paul, who plays aninstrument, Plant voice is not a man made instrument. Pretty much once the damage is done to your voice, its pretty much never 100% anymore

  • @therandomguy3 Yeah most every older band does it. Unless they use a vocal program to help with it. (Cher does). Who cares its still rock n roll.

  • best band eva!

  • haha he forgot the 3 "aaahas's"

  • Jason Bonhem.....he´s like his father....n1...best on the world..

  • 1st of all is BONHAM..

no one can be like John Henry "bonzo" Bonhame, NO ONE... he was, and he will be ever the GOD of DRUMS!

  • 2nd of all it's Bonham, not Bonhame! LOL!

  • It's like Robert Plant can't even sing in his own range any more. What the hell is up whith that? His vocals were always a very distinct element of their sound. There's really no room for vocal short cuts and singing nearly a full octave lower than the origional song. Everyone else sounded great but Plant really seemed to ruin it all.

  • he has no doubt lost some of the power in voice, but remember also that the peak of Led Zeppelin's carreer was over 30 years ago, no one is going to sound the same at 60 years old as they did when they were 25-30 years old..

  • JMartyson, quite soo, for me he´s still the best

  • steven tyler is older than plant and sounds as good as he did in his prime. not saying i like tyler more, plant is my favorite singer of all time, just sayin

  • @JMartyson yes there is

paul stanley from kiss still hits the same high notes 38 years later, the fact is robert plant hit the drugs pretty hard and it has now effected him in old age. he can still sing, but not like he use to.

also paul rodger is still A1, as is mick jagger

  • @mammo8369 True about paul stanley. But paul rodgers and mick dont sing high notes like plant did. Give it a rest. You saying you wouldnt go see them and be like WOW I saw Zeppelin. He still rocked

  • @sirdon1229 my point was people were going on about how great this show was, sure it was exciting they played again, but the end result was they sounded like a really bad cover band. a good band cant still have that sound and feel 30 years later, zeplin dont have this. i dont mind the band, but was shocked at how bad they sounded, they didnt even slightly resemble their hey day

  • @JMartyson A profound statement! I would have never thought of it. I just don't compare Robert to Zep anymore. I appreciate his creativity and the ongoing musical journey he is taking. That was what Zep was about and obviously the only one sticking to it. IMO he still has a powerful voice. I always thought his nut huggers gave him an edge on his falsettoes anyways!

  • Are you really that thick? It's called 'aging' and it happens to everyone who isn't dead.

  • I don't think it's a new problem for Plant. In the movie The Song Remains The Same, they play this song and he doesn't even sing the words, he just speaks them. That was 35 years ago. Sounds great on the original recording though.

  • mrsgstd: You're right ... that's just Robert live; either he's talking, ad-libbing, or singing verses out of order, but we're used to it, and we accept it, and we love him no less for it!

    ;O)

  • Yes, he has sold out more shows than I have that's for sure.

  • His voice was frickin shot b4 1977,

  • True - The Song Remains the Same was filmed in 1973 and he couldn't sing this song then.

  • Do you have any idea how much they toured in there 11 year career? especially from '68 to 69. I've got a bootleg from 1971, and Robert tells the audience that he was sorry for canceling a previous show because they had just played at least 20 dates in 6 days, which ruined his voice. You should really look for a song called "Operator" with Alexis Korner. Roberts range and emotion in that song is amazing. It's from 1968 before the first Zeppelin album came out. He had a powerful voice.

  • True, "Operator" is awesome! And there a few more pre-Zeppelin Plant stuff, his voice was so young back then.

  • Yeah, I heard a few that my ears don't agree with. He sounds like a Tom Jones-type singer. I was thinking, "That's not Plant!".

  • Can you tell me where is the bootleg where Plants says that they have to cancel a show because of his voice? I think that I have that bootleg.

  • I can't tell you where it is, but I can tell you which one it is:

April 1st, 1971 Paris Theatre. If you've heard the BBC Sessions show on disc 2, it will sound very familiar .

  • I've heard the BBC sessions lol

  • Then you will notice extra songs, what was said between songs, and the true original version of whole lotta love on that bootleg. It's amazing what they had to take out to make it fit on the CD.

  • I think lifestyle choices have more to do with it, specifically smoking. Plant was smoking for many years after the seventies. Many of the vocalist's from the seventies who didn't smoke sound as good today as they did back then. Examples - Paul Rodgers, Ann Wilson, Eagles. Another example of someone who continues to smoke and lost much of his voice is Bob Seger.

  • @GOODY61 check out George Harrison of the Beatles!!Never seen such a ruined voice from smoking again.

  • @GOODY61 You are mostly correct, but Glen Frey was a heavy smoker.

  • I soooooooooooo love them!!! ...wish they'd come to Bay Area:)

  • I would definetly fly down your way to see them, anywhere on the west coast, Seattle would be best for me.

  • @rdj218 ME TOO

  • @rdj218 anywhere in the states will do for me!

  • lol doesnt jimmy page look like a toad

  • Jeez for what seems like a handheld video camera, the quality is great! Better than most Zep clips on YouTube. Thanks!

  • bonham jr. el mejor baterista del mundo despues de su padre

  • World Tour, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @EaFoTre21 DVD, please....

  • AWESOME!
