  • it was in the key of A

  • Anyone have chords/tab for this one please?

  • Love, love, love Badfinger! First I hear of Stan Polley's passing. I hope he suffered a long and painful death.

  • one of those songs where the more you hear it the better it gets.

  • Brilliant!

  • A great song straight out of the McCartney handbook.

  • this woulda been a good james bond song

  • love this song xxxx

  • This song pretty much describes the feelings I have over some of my past relationships and friendships

  • Dynamite!

  • over the past year i have really gotten into badfinger, especially tom evans. what a real shame he is no longer with us. GREAT talent.

  • This is an awesome tune-never heard it before.

  • Tommy Evans & Joey Molland with Joe Tansin were a great band. It's still

BADFINGER and it is still a great band. So check out Joe Tansin's new song here on YOUTube "The Last Ride" It'll break yer heart mates.

AIRWAVES & Say No More were two really great BADFINGER cd/Records. Go search them out. You'll like them a lot!

  • This song is as good as the vintage Badfinger. This and Sail Away

  • Was this on the airwaves album?

  • @johnny10301968 yes, it was.

  • What a band, what a song.. this song begins generating emotions from the first line. The band may not have been the same without Pete, but the talent of Tom Evans is shining through...

  • Another song I loved on this I loved was Sympathy ....it did my heart so much good when this came out and I saw them on Don Kirshners rock concert ..I made up a cassette of a few of these songs along with the originals ...and all my dates loved these songs ....great mood setters!!!...ahh to be young again ....

  • Beautiful and blue

  • Sad and beautiful

  • Gottah know your manager or you will get sunk really bad. Just like Grand Funk Railroad in their early years...and the Beatles which was a contributor to their disbanding along with another item we know all too well.

  • best song from the album, i believe.

  • Perhaps that's how Tommy felt...

  • This song and "Love is Gonna Come At Last" are two of the few Badfinger songs that I liked after Pete Ham's death.

Other than those two songs, I really don't consider Badfinger Badfinger without Pete Ham. The same thing goes for when I've seen Joey Molland live twice (playing Badfinger songs). Of course, for those concerts, it was more like Joey Molland playing a live tribute to Pete Ham, since it was mainly songs of Pete Ham's.

Badfinger had the most tragic story in music that I know of.

  • bit like xmas pud without custard, just aint the same, pete ham was a genius, end of,

  • the Airwave is lovely

and this song is so great

Joey and Tom made a very good come back.....I dont know why it was underated

  • Youth fades; time takes no prisoners. Sadness always fills my heart when I see these guys. I am glad I became a Christian. Life is better now--Badfinger music almost put me over the edge when Pete died. Be careful how deeply music you listen to mesmerizes and influences the heart and soul, for out of them flow the issues of life.

  • Definitely one of my favorite songs from Tom Evans. I believe he was up there with Pete as far as writing the best songs of the group.

  • god bless you tom!!

  • Joey and Tom made a lp that came out after this one.SAY NO MORE is the name of the lp and it is a kick ass rock album.Underated and never played as usual. That is what pisses me off about radio.

  • the most let down band in the history of bands.

  • agree

  • not so much with radio as much as poor management.

as you know with the manager with management of this group, once they left apple (hence, 'apple of my eye..apple of my heart), they became victims of stan polley.

and this guy from what i can see is alive and well (see google page) and 3 of the members are gone. sad.

  • Polley is indeed alive, in his 80's, living the high life in California. You can locate him online with little effort. How he can live while these brilliant artists die so young?

I put this beautiful song on the first mix cassette I gave my wife many years ago. No wonder she fell for me ;)

  • Waitaminute- and all this time I thought the spineless bastard was long dead?!

    Life is so unfair!

  • @crapple009 the @ucking @unt that was Stan Polley went to hell on 20 July 2009. I`d piss on his grave if i knew where it was.

  • Nice video! That's Tony Kaye of Yes fame on the piano. Thanks for posting.

  • this sounds different then the record. it sounds better.

  • hmmm...was pete gone by the time this record was made?

i notice mike was not on the drums.

  • This was about four years after Pete's death. Mike wasn't part of the 1979 reunion album Airwaves, from which this song came.

  • yes pete was gone. this came out in 1979. only tommy and joey where in this version of badfinger. same as on the say no more record.

  • @astanjay i too wondered why MG wasnt there for the 2 later BF albums

  • We miss you Tommy...

  • Wow, what a beautiful song!
