Ref Michael Ortega should've never been allowed to referee another fight. I never say stuff like this, but you have to honestly wonder if he had a bet on Echols.
Premature stoppage. Brewer NEVER hit the canvas. He took some hellacious shots at the end, but he was still on his feet. Yeah, I prefer to err on the side of caution, but the ref brought this one to an end a few seconds too soon. Why not another standing 8 count? Likewise, Echols hit the canvas three times and was able to weather the storm. However, even with no 3-knockdown rule, I wouldn't have blamed the ref for stopping it after the third knockdown.
@wayupinya1 Thanks.46?I thought you were some child with the comments you post.Get rid of those demons.Open that bible up.Lets see whos dumb now.Im a servant of the most high!!!!What comes out your mouth is from your heart. You got problems.I will pray for you.
Both had some good shots. i dont know if the ref was right to stop it so soon but i agree with him when he said that if the ropes were not there Brewer would have been on the mat.
Love watching Brewer fight.

Shocking ref, he let one fighter get absolutely pasted for a round, and then when this guy gets hurt once he blows up. Not good.

@dmshoes Because, you stupid cunt, there was no three knockdown rule and Echols got up each time. What a dumb shit. You must be an Obama voter.

serious error by ref
i believe what really helped echols was his trainer's vital insight. he let echols know that he withered the storm.
