My aunt smoked. 5 years ago she finally went to the Doctors because she had refused to for so long worried that they would just tell her to stop (so she was obviously ashamed in the first place). She came out and they told her that 20% of her 2 lungs was working and that she had 2 years to live. She then stopped smoking and her health crashed. She soon couldn't stand while in the shower, had to rest while half way up/down the stairs, and eventually had to be on oxygen and in a wheel chair.

if cigarettes were banned, cigarettes would YES be sold illegally, but they would be marked up insanely. For example...

All of the U.S. bans the SALE of cigarettes.. Which means the Indian reservations will start jacking their prices up and costing you extra for "Discrete Billing & Shipping" which will ofcourse cost more for the "dealers" who will be selling these.

The dealers would than double or triple what they paid (which would be around $10-20/pack)

Jumped from $5.00/pack to 10.00 overnight, because of heavy taxation. taxation that goes to our medical system that pays for people that are dying from lung cancer and living miserable lives with it.
