  • @chierico95 haha yep :)

  • Hello mate, I have just bought a GC-1010 and I'm not sure it's working properly. When I press the disc or notch buttons they don't seem to stay on them unless I hold the button(s) down....is this what should happen please ?

  • @FUK3699 Naaa bro you need to turn it on, then push disc, then disc/notch...then push the plus sign button and you will see the top line moving from the right screen across to the right...keep going till its below the 5c piece picture...then push sens, and again push plus button till your bottom line (sensitivity) is either at full (or I find better, 1 bar below full power). My other suggestion is dig every signal for the 1st 2 weeks and take note of your tones and where the identification is

  • @FUK3699 as far s notch goes...I don;t use it, nor do I believe it should be used...or you will just miss too much potential gold targets.

  • @madsonicboating thanks for that info buddy. I just worked out the buttons today. I am new to metal detecting and I today thought the same that it seems rather pointless adjusting the notch as I want to find as much as possible. Could you possibly explain what the disc function is for please and if it is pointless also ?

    Thanks again

  • @FUK3699 Hi again mate, naa you just need to do what I said above then go use ya machine for couple of weeks and take note of your different tone signals vs the targets you are finding...best way to learn is to get blisters. And living in the UK you will find some cool stuff so I wanna see videos too haha HH (happy hunting)

  • How's that Automax pointer you got there, madsonicboating? Would you buy it again, or go for a Garrett, or something else? Reckon it's worth gettin something, or GC1010 on its own good enough?

  • @baoluo1 Hey man...yeah I find the automax is pretty good at pin pointing stuff at up to 3" (2" for small items like buttons etc) & was cheap!! (2nd hand) It's big when hangng on my belt but I've never had an issue with it's size. From looking at other videos I'd say the garrett ones look pretty good and nice & small but I've never tried anything different. I never had one for a start so I got pretty good at using the GC1010 (or Treasure hunter 3030) for pin pointing items. Cheers, MSB

  • Hey madsonicboating, how's it going with the GC1010? Is it holding up? Any issues?

  • @baoluo1 hey man yeah i'm loving it!! I damged the elbow rest slightly so had to tape that and the shaft sometimes get's a slight wobble at the joint but overall it's found everything you see in these videos plus more :) They're certainly not made of strong good quality materials but then hey, the price more than makes up for it.

  • Hey thanks for the effort to put up yer video. Much appreciated.

  • @baoluo1 lol no probs mate hopefully it can be of use to someone that owns or uses a GC1010 detector. Plus it fills in boring nights instead of watching TV for me lol...

  • i like you treasure chest, very nice, hopy you fill it up.

  • @justanotherpulltab thanks dude I hope so too...gold and silver only would be nice :)

  • @WeirdParkGuy lol cheers WPG...I was trying to help out kidsdetector as he has the same model detector. Maybe handy for other people with the GC1010?HH

  • Thanks for the info. I agree, gold is one of those things where you need patience and time.. as you will need to dig a lot of crap to get it...

I did some experimenting yesterday in the back yard with a 2 dollar coin, and found that the numbers were really jumping around if 6'' or deeper.. but solid if on the surface.. Based off that, I have been missing a lot of 2 dollar coins because i have been skipping those jumping targets.. oh well, I learned..

  • @Kramer3278 haha damn now ya gotta re-do that land ya hunted :) Dunno bout the minelab but I find $1 or $2 that have been in the ground longer give me a jumpy signal too...shallow coins are like silver nearly really high pitched tone :) Must be the mineralisation thing happening?

  • @Madsonicboating Looking forward to seeing your next video.

  • @KidsDetector thanks young fella...maybe you will film some of your finds one day?

  • @madsonicboating Yeah Man, I hope so, when I get Xaalaax's pin pointer.

  • Congrats on the silver find mate. Nice chest too. You found quiet of bit of silver since febuary. HH!

  • @jmwnycprr cheers dude...man you should see the chest now its grown a lot in one month since I fimed that part :)

  • Congrats on your find and silver coin!

  • @MyYogiB thanks myYogiB and HH to you :)

  • Nice collection there, Interesting idea keeping all the cool coins in individual draws, i keep mine all over the places, the relics i keep in my bottle cabinet, the predecimals i keep in a coin album and the decimals i keep in that chest i made. interesting place to find handles is the $2 shop, thats where i got all mine from haha

  • @xaalaax Thanks man..yeah when I seen the wee cabinet I thought good way to sort bits out...for now :) the collection has grown considerably since filming this and as for handles... I need 6 and yet I found 4 wee brass knobs (on film) in my local park. Dunno what they were off but they were deep and coin signals) All different holes too!! I'mgonna polish them and try & find 2 more...be neat to use something I found too :)

  • Thank you sooooooo much man.

  • @KidsDetector haha no probs man I hope this vid helps you and other users of the GC1010
