wow I grew up with those books! I read so MANY of them when I was 9! probably about 60 of those Baby Sitters' Club books! I learned so much, my teacher was like "Wow, how did you know that people with diabetes need insulin??" And it was from reading those BOOKS :)
my older sister used to read the baby sitters club and i used to read the baby sitter's little sister series haha and then i got into the baby sitters club. but im with a few of you guys. i'd like to see them grow up too so that they could grow up with us :\
whooot!!! i love bsc!!! it was my childhood growing up and i was always sad that i never got to completely read all of the books, really want to finish the entire series and read every single one!!!
I dont think the idea of these girls is relavant anymore. I think she waited too long to consider getting back with the series. The stories, the characters, their values, and their life in general really need an update if she plans for these books to be as relavant as they were 15 years ago
NICE!! I am 29 years old and remember the tv show, books and the movie coming out. The nineties were great. I am glad that Ann M. Martin is coming back out with these books.
30 years old- LOVED books as a kid (read more than other books- but oh well) Read Summer before this past summer- a few weeks ago at my school's Scholastic book fair (I'm an aide) I saw Kristy's great idea. Any plans for publishers to put books on Nook or Kindle?
YEAH! Loved them growing up, read Summer Before this past summer; as I was at the bookfair at the school where I work (Scholastic bookfair) I saw Kristy's great idea. Thank you SO much for bringing them back
i really love these books but the thing is is that they're getting more childish for me every time i read them. I really wish she would write them into highschool. instead of just SMS all the time. I'm kind of getting sick of it. dont they grow up? is a question being asked in the back of my head.
she is bringing back the books?..omg. i grew up on her books and had every copy that existed..i learned alot just from reading those books and i grew up in connecticut so i really could relate to the characters...
I think she should have created books for the girls as they got older, i mean i dont want to know what 9-8 year old is thinking, i want to know what happened to them in they later teens and into early adulthood. Sort of like they grew with us
@MrsFreshMorning Couldn't agree more. She should write about them in high school...there's certainly many more dramatic plot lines available there. Besides, young adult fiction is getting more mature (ex. 'Twilight') so what tween is going to want to read about pre-teen baby-sitters?
I'm 22, and have been reading the books since I knew how to read, starting with the little sister series. I would be more happy than you can imagine if I could go into a bookstore and find them back on the shelves, so I can finish my collection!!!
i'm 29 years old and i have most the baby-sitters club books and movies, i grew up with this series i started reading them in second grade and i've been looking everywhere for these books so i can finish my collection but i can't find them anywhere not even on amazon which sucks, but i'm so glad to find out that Ann M. Martin is bringing the series back i'm totaly adding this book to my collection, welcome back Ann M. Martin!
@khscheer01 try garage sales and thrift shops. thats where i get mine. i love the books i have 4 movies and like 40 books and not done collecting yet!. :)
i 'm 23 and a man ofcourse... and i read those books when i was 16 hahaha :D cause i had to reead books for school and these where so small and fast so i choose those :p..not one bit gay... book actualy gave me boners.
@Vleesball I'm also 23(23 1/2 to be exact). I started reading the series when I was 8 1/2 years old and I still love The Baby-Sitters Club! I'm so freaking happy that they decided to bring back the series.
yeah i love these books! ive read so many, but yeah it annoyed me how they stayed the same age a bit...

I only ever owned one of the bsc books. Something about kristy and softball, and a boy gone missing, who was found in a construction site house.

@cacticrisis Kristy and the Missing Child. It's one of the BSC mystery series. It was actually one of my first books of the BSC I've read
