My Dad had a Model 8 just like this when I was growing up, same natural/blue color scheme, except it had rounded wingtips and vertical stabilizer, and it didn't have the small quarter windows behind the doors like this one in the video. The massive wheel pants look cool. My father used joke about their "streamlining" effect, saying the plane was actually slightly faster with them removed, lol

I learned to fly in an 8F and although I could slip like that, I never tried that tail wheel up stoppie. Too cool. I wonder if he had a regular C-85 or a larger engine.

Beautifully done on the sideslipping and the landing....my dad was the proud owner of 2 Luscombes an A and I think the other was a D but never flew in the D...the A was nice though but sucked without electric start. Brings back memories.....

Real nice flying. Never had a Luscombe. But loved my Cessna 120 back in the 60's.

Nothing like a good ole Taildragger for fun flying.
