  • I love to eat them after cutting them off. They taste really interesting.

  • I have never had mine rip off while working out or ever.

  • Thanks scooby!!

  • i just let my hands get real dry then i pel them off simple as that

  • .

i use nail cutters, it helps but it makes the skin uneven =/

    .

  • *facepalm

why not just use a pumice stone in the shower? SO much more easier

  • hahahaha 'so much more easier' wow you must be a body builder hahahahaha

  • How come bodybuilders never seem to be able to find their shirts?

  • or you can wear gloves

  • i love this man

  • I use a knife, by i do only scrape the surface... it works for me... no cutting..

  • haha why am i watching this im 13

  • i use my dremel with a sanding drum on it... the heat will transfer thru and you know when to stop by how warm you get

  • that is one badass fish tank back there

  • safer way to take them off i found out was when you take a hot shower or a bath, they get softer and sometimes come loose so the loose ones i jjsut kind of pick at and then leave the rest that arent loose..it works and its the keeps the amount of calluses on your hands to a minimum.

  • Im wincing lol but I do surgical type stuff on myself all the time. I use a small sander than apply some lotion.

  • I don't see my method on there. I just bite it off.

  • If Chuck Norris doesn't do it, im not going to do it. Chuck has Calluses on-top of other Calluses.

  • Ive used the "foot file" several times and I'd rather use it that cutting them off with the clippers. Just too big of a risk. You get a cut, grab a barbell at the local gym, get infected with some creepy nasty thing, and your fkd,

  • ugly mofo

  • thanku scooby ...

  • scooby ur are the shit

  • yeah dont fuck with it either with pliers or scissors, the new skin that builds just becomes way harder then the old calluses you get. Just let time take care of it. OR SUPER GLUE

  • You could just put super glue on them and work out like that or put it before you get calluses.

Even if you do have calluses they go away over like a month or more if you dont work out, use lotion

  • I admire you man...

By the way, this is what I needed xD!

  • why arent u a youtube partner! you've done loads of vidz... you're basically the youtube oracle of bodybuilding!

  • @blinkvirus Alot of peoples videos on here suck but your videos are half way decent and you should be a you tube partner you can make money.

  • Don't even work out of do anything at all.

  • "Trimming calluses this way in dangerous! I do it but Im an idiot."

We love you scooby. Keep making more videos.

  • use chalk or proper gloves that fit tightly, and you shouldn't have too many calluses.

  • sac up dude n fuckin deal w/ it they don't hurt that bad.........unless ur a bitch of course

  • this nigga is just mad cas when he beats it hurts w/ his pussy ass calluses lol. not 2 mention he looks like a fuckin roided out bob saggot XD

  • scooby is a fucking bro

  • I bet if you put the salicylic acid on after clipping, you could go even longer without clipping.

  • wouldn't that just eat at the new skin and cause massive irritation?

  • I don't know, I haven't tried it. What I do know is that Salicylic acid does not work like an "acid", i.e. it doesn't burn off layers of skin. Rather, the organic molecule is shaped in such a way that it degrades keratin and therefore only affects the stratum corneum.

  • scooby you should use gloves

  • the bigger the calluses the bigger you get .... its completly true

  • I never get them from lifting, even if I feel sore after a hard workout. I get them in my fingers after writting a lot because if the pen.

  • Calluses are formed when your skin is dry which result in excessive friction. Instead of doing this, all you need to do is make sure your skin is protected with weightlifting chalk, gloves or wrap bandages around your palm.

  • @ilabstudios, And you won't get calluses if you wear gloves, you just need to make sure they're padded and not the cheap light ones that look like bike gloves.

  • i dunno bout everybody else, but, I feel this is the most BRUTAL recommendations that u had given so far.

  • can some one help?

my serratus anterior pops out too much, like a ball stuck to my ribs. is this because my teres is to small or my serratus anterior has been over worked? or some thing else?

  • @SonnyBowl you should visit your doctor and he will say what's wrong.

  • @SonnyBowl

LMFAO im stoned riht now that is funny..llo

  • workout gloves anyone? lol

  • I like nail clippers for this kinda of stuff. You have to have great precision though, or you WILL cut of a piece of flesh and draw blood.

  • i like that cutting sound o.o

  • GOOD VIDEO

  • I just bite them off.

  • You sound retarded. You have fucked up teeth.

  • hey just some words of advice learn how to talk before you make a video of urself

  • What is it with all the critics here anyway? Some people get calluses faster than others, and some people really get rid of 'em even badlier. So why not have another suggestion?

I personally rather cool my palms after sets

It is not disgusting either. You clip your nails, and that stuff is basically the same when it comes down to biology.

Please all, pay attention and think for a minute, before hitting the submit button

One flaw only: where are the outtakes where you cut too deep ;-)

  • man how in the fuck would a callus limit your progress, lame as fuck and rediculous all together

  • 1:24 He's an emo!

  • Come on guys, this ain't that disgusting! Haven't you seen any gory horror movies like SAW? Anyway, useful information Scooby, as allways.

  • PATCHES OF SKIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think It really depends of each person, some people have stronger hands than others.

  • just massage them with yur thumbs after yur workouts it reduces swelling dont rip your skin.....BE SMART

  • You mean you don't bite them off, Scooby?

  • I personnally think that if you get to the point where gloves don't work anymore and you start getting disgusting things like that on your hands, it may be time for you to start maintaining what you already have and stop trying to lift heavier. I don't see the use of being able to lift 400 lbs for most people if you're not doing competitions that really require it.

  • And also, put non-perfumed, hypoallergenic, non greasy, thick cream on your hands regularly!

  • I have that EXACT same knife. You just earned a 5 star for that

  • Or .... you can use a good firm grip. yeah.

  • I love your videos Scooby but this is disgusting : S

  • Sick video.

    Still very informative.

  • lmao every time I see him about to cut, i feel like he is about to get some flesh too.

  • only reason i would want to wear gloves is because of grip on bars some times the sweat on the bar and my hands causes the bar to slip n slide e.t.c so could anyone recommend if they would help me with that?

  • I've been lifting for years and have received little to know calluses. (The girls say I have strong soft hands.) But I do sometimes use gloves.

Anyway my friend, use gloves. You also can use powder depending on where your lifting. Powder is good for home use, but in public gyms you'll have to clean it off making it more troublesome then needed. Just don't wear gloves that are to big or to small my friend.

    As always great vid Scooby1961!

  • called lotion..

  • I find that swimming once a week adds variety to my workouts but also does some small maintence on my calluses (hands and feet)

  • couldnt u just wear gloves?

  • well yeah dude for people who already have them gloves its just abit useless.. but for lifting weights ive been using gloves and ive been using them since the very beginning and.. no calluses :D

  • can you read??? no offense but he did say gloves wont work for heavy lifting..... start doing 450's and up to see those calluses form even though your wearing gloves...... i dont care if your superman youll still get them

  • forget the tough skin, look at those double d's!!!!!

    owe baby!!!!!

  • that was pretty gnarly

  • no doubt!

  • damn those are some huge calluses coming off lol.

  • I use nail clippers myself. I have had them rip while lifting -- its painful.

  • I have calluses on my palms and knuckles. I can't understand why anyone would want to remove them. They protect your skin from bein damaged by the weights you lift. I never trim mine, they never get ripped off from weight lifting, they just peal or flake every so often after I take a bath.

  • WTF?

  • use a nail clibber

  • Nail clippers are curved not flat. More of a chance of drawing blood.

  • DAMN SCOOBY! This was like watching a child being born, in all of its grotesque beauty.

  • thats kinda disturbing

  • ALLMAYS USE A KNIFE!!! it won`t hurt a bit!

  • This is disgusting, interesting and useful at once.

  • its easier to do this after a hot bath btw :)

  • Don't you ever try to workout in athlete gloves? :)

  • its scary

  • Think of the razorblade is a planer if thats helps towards understanding my method :)

  • I use a fresh razor blade each time, doing the same with cleaning of alchohol. With the flat razorblade just slide it back n forth gently over the callus untill ur happy, and as Scooby said, don't get greedy, and DON'T rush it! When using the razorblade, dont angle it very much, almost no angle is required for a perfect "grind" try almost flatting the razorblade to the callus and work ur way. Be careful since a razor obviously is a very sharp and dagerous tool.

  • Well, almost the way I do it, hehe I do it with my teeth!

  • benching more than 400 pounds.... im pretty serious about my bodybuilding, but im 14 and I am at 225, is this good for bench?

  • dont be a douche

  • thats very good

  • Do you have to always wear a hat?

  • He's trying to hide something in front of camera

  • i would take a shower or get your hands soaked so the skin is sorta soft then cut it or use that cheese grater thing

  • i do that and it works haah

  • Dude

  • Hey i was wondering where i could get dairy whey protein besides online

  • Awesome video and channel!

Gloves are not allowed for my training and I have to do this each week also. It does not hurt, although I cut slightly less deep than this.

  • so uh, scooby, is it cold in that room or are you just happy to see me?

  • I use an old pair of leather gloves for weight lifting and my calluses are only super small and they come off easy with almost no extra skin coming off too!

  • OUCH!!!!!

  • And for all of those who suggest using gloves. I've tried using gloves but you'll still have o squeeze your hand together, that makes skin wrinkle and wrinkled skin mean big calluses when using big weights. It's just sa simple fact, get over it.

  • and with this I unsubscribe

  • lawl, that's just weak

  • @Ken7786

What a weak stomach you must have.

  • @ken7786 pussy

  • WHAT THE FUCK!

  • I threw up in my mouth watching this.

  • This is horrible! Just use workout gloves while lifting. If they still come up (of course they will be smaller and softer), then use a hand lotion.

  • USE WORKOUT GLOVES!

  • 4:11 it kinda does look fun

  • Nail-clippers!

  • I still say the shower method is the easiest since the skin will soften.

  • I wish i had calluses now this look fun

  • lol but hurts like hell

  • LOL 4:06 "its gonna get injured" How can a callus get injured lol.

  • you can tear the callus so it doesn't heal

  • Bet he tucked straight into those after the vid, proper tasty. Hopefully high in protein lol.

  • it's look easier

  • in the shower when skin is moist use pumus stone. Done deal :-)

  • scoobys such a beast!!!!!!

i just pick at mine hahahahaha

  • Another great video Scooby!

    ~Dylan, Success Story~

  • Yuum, im going to eat the trimmings of my calluses tonight!!! (YUKKK??)

  • @abodiginal69 delicious :D Enjoy!

  • yum yum, don't forget the 1 ton of protein that comes with the calluses. I recommend using it as a tasty topping to pizzas, or just enjoy on plain toast. just save about a years worth of calluses in a jar, and their you have it. (TAKING IT TOO FAR?)

  • I do the same thing but using just a plain nail cutter.. what I recommend is that you soak first your hand on a warm water for 5 minutes and that will make your calluses soft and it can be removed easily and more safely and you reduce the risk of cutting normal skin

  • i heard if you pee on your own hand or foot, it will heal you.

  • Nice angels!

  • i file them

  • I've never had a callus bleed

  • he wasnt talking about the calluses bleeding but by cutting too much ur cutting off ur normal skin causing is to bleed.

  • i love doing stuff like this

  • moisturizer fool

  • Hey everyone! If you like clubbing/techno music, then click my name and subscribe! :D

  • I just use my nail clippers.

  • how about some gloves ?

  • my callases must be different cause mine would never bleed and there rock hard my hands never hurt when i lift

  • All I can say, that was satisfying to watch!

  • i think this is not the truth.

i was doing gymnastics for some time and without callkuses you wouldn´t be able to do the things your supposed to do.

So i think calluses are kind of helpfull in many cases.

  • my Calluses kinda helps me...

  • so uh, scooby, is it cold in that room or are you just happy to see me?

  • Good method i used to get alot of them too when i would lift, but i would use simple large toe nail clippers they work just as well, but i would do like you did and clean them with alchohol first

  • lol, randomly i was ripping at my calluses today and drew blood, and then this video popped up on my youtube homepage.

  • How about prevention in the first place?

  • i hate claces :(

  • A lot of people think it's cool and some BADGE OF HONOR to have these BLOODY hands with big patches of skin hanging off" and "No, what most serious bodybuilders do is they just BRUTALLY rip them off and let them bleed." I know this is serious stuff, but the way he says it is LMFAO.

  • this question is not related to this topid but:

im 14 and may i drink protein drinks after my training?

    please help

  • First of all.... You should train too hard if your under 16 years old its not healthy for your body

  • These videos have got to be the most readily-available, down-to-earth bodybuilding guide ever. Thanks for your knowledge scoob.

  • F ing grody dude.

  • i love cutting my calluses too, but i use a nail clipper.=D

  • @fragilez

    I do that aswell :D

  • do you eat the trimmings after?

  • lol.....u and scooby should team up....sigh this video is the epitome of bodybuilder/engineer mentality....ingenius/brilliant/stupid

  • i scooby, i have a unrelated question:

are hand grips beneficial? do they actually strengthen the forearm and hand muscles?

    Ty

  • They do increase grip strength and do help strengthen the forearm.

Remember, the cheap 5 dollars one you buy are rubbish. You should buy heavy grips (I think that's what they're called) they go up in 50lbs increments, e.g. 100, 150, 250lbs...

Eventually, you may plateau and hand grips will be useless. So you must use more than just hand grips. (also, forearm workouts are not recommended for beginners)

  • Yes, they do.

  • Watching this video made me laugh. Just wearing a good pair of gloves in the gym and you'll never have to worry about calluses.

  • Did this video really need to be made?

  • @timmieturner ....yes this video had to be made. regardless of whether the method is right or wrong, discussion of the small important issues are what make changes in life. All the great products out there are great because they take the small details seriously.

  • @wodahsking glad you agree! Like it or not bodybuilding involves many subjects other than nutrition and lifting. I talk about things that I feel people need to know about.

  • No it didn't.We can do this forever.

  • i use a knife and then i eat the skin

  • Comment removed

  • aaaah. i watched that and my balls went up into the treehouse.

  • yummy...

  • hahahaha i cant stop laughing :P

  • i usually use a knife

  • have u ever screwed up doin that ? becasue it looks like u get pretty close to the new skin.

  • And I just ate too....

  • I just wear gloves lol...

  • I guess I've been lucky to never have one torn off. Mine usually form then fall off once or twice a week while in the shower. That happens with both the ones from lifting and playing guitar. I typically take like 2 or 3 HOT showers a day. Maybe that has something to do with it?

  • @esprit182 yeah showers cleans the skin and helps shed dead skin, makes the calluses white and just easily peel off i find.

  • Hey Scooby , all of your Videos are very informative and well explained , Thank u very much...

  • hi scooby, i have a unrelated question:

are hand grips benefical? do they actually strenghen the forarm and hand mucles?

    Ty
