@purgegamers LOL is just different, flash is broken because its almost a must Pick, but blink on earthshaker, tiny, or tidehunter is similar in its effectiveness ie: blink for position and team sun. Lol can be fun; its definitely faster but I agree its a bit easier with no Denies and no choice of skills at lvl max. I'm a lvl 29 LOL player but stopped due to dota2 beta Key, never really got into Dota 1 but found LOL very fun and its community is pretty friendly. Dota2 more strategy=more fun.

@PurgeGamers Isn't Blink Dagger like flash but on a lower cooldown? I know it the fact that "summoner spells" like flash are on a higher cooldown just make it like something that everybody takes, but that doesn't mean it doesn't take any skill at all.

Unless you've played LoL, don't bash. But I do think DotA 2 would be more fun anyways.

@atlanteantapir Blink dagger costs 2150 gold(this is a lot), costs 75 mana to use, and if you take player damage you can't use it for 3 seconds(ie you die). I don't have to play LoL to realize that letting everyone have a free blink every 240 seconds messes up the game. Positioning is extremely important in dota and every hero should not have a get out of jail free card unless its built into their hero.

@PurgeGamers keep in mind it is much less of a get out of jail free card in lol due to the fact that the entire of team has it not to mention the other team has a 45% slow and a fairly strong dot on almost every champ. not saying you shouldnt play the game the skill level is much lower but i think of it as a different kind of game dota is a difficult game for when you want a challenge lol is more of a CoD type game when u just wanna mess around for 20 min then win/lose by surrender

@pylothepyloncom 5 second is a lot longer in Dota than in LoL. Many kill can happen within this time frame. Anti-mage is never picked at the international competitive games, so obviously, it is less op than you think. If you watch tournaments, the most OP thing in Dota is a well co-ordinated disable relay, which anti-mage can't contribute to. Hence, earthshaker is the real op hero

Sadly the issue with that is in LoL there are champions that don't use mana, not having played Dota extensively before I think all champions do use mana, so having to use mana for the active effect is reasonable. They have nerfed the distance at which flash goes, but yes, flash is still anti-fun. I would say that barring that, it's not fair to say that therefore LoL sucks, but I can understand your concern for the brokenness in comp. play.

Sit down and think about exactly how many games the term can refer to for a second. It can basically apply to any videogame. Any other term for videogames describe what you do in it. Like you have MMO (massive multiplayer online) games, so you play multiplayer with more people than usual. FPS (First Person Shooter) games you shoot (or in rare cases fight) from first person view and so on. And then you have a multiplayer online battle arena? It doesn't work.

A really important thing to point out from this video is that even a somewhat decent player who can't last-hit can make a huge difference in games playing a support (compare first game to second). I wish more players went for the teamplay support in pubs - everybody rolling a carry who can't last hit annoys the hell out of me.

Originally I was pissed at the first game and the whole 'gamer-girl' thing, but I actually found this video very instructive. I judged ya too early, Purge :D
